Röhm GmbH founder Dr. Otto Röhm has been posthumously inducted into the Plastics Hall of Fame. The ceremony in Düsseldorf on the eve of K 2025 recognized 18 pioneers from the chemical industry.

Krones won the German Sustainability Award
Krones AG has received the German Sustainability Award in the "Machinery manufacturing companies" category. The jury cited the firm's consistent, long-term sustainability strategy, highlighting energy-efficient machinery and the enviro product series launched more than a decade ago.

Entries are open for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026. Seven categories recognise innovation and applications of recycled plastics, with winners to be announced during the 10th anniversary of PRS Europe in Amsterdam on 5–6 May 2026; the entry deadline is 5 December 2025.
Ineos Styrolution scales recycled polystyrene for Aldi Süd
Ineos Styrolution has introduced sour cream cups with 30% recycled polystyrene in Aldi Süd stores across Germany, developed with Aldi Süd and Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller. In July 2025 the cups were recognised with the German Packaging Award in the “Sustainability: recycled content” category.
KHS receives EcoVadis platinum, advances ESG reporting
KHS GmbH has received a platinum medal from EcoVadis with 86 out of 100 points, placing the company in the top 1% of more than 150,000 rated firms. The supplier also achieved a leader rating on the carbon scorecard and is aligning its voluntary reporting with CSRD requirements.
