MAS introduced the iQonicTwin HyperPET, integrating a pre-extrusion SSP based on infrared radiation and vacuum for food-grade rPET with stable IV, color consistency and low AA at reduced energy use. The solution debuts at K Show 2025 in Düsseldorf.
SML has expanded its extruder portfolio with a co-rotating twin-screw model designed for high-output processing of polyolefins and polyesters. Tests on a CPP line indicate 10 to 15% lower specific energy input and up to 20% fewer gels compared with a single-screw extruder.

Stadler has completed and commissioned a highly automated lightweight packaging sorting plant for PreZero in Sollenau, Austria, designed for 104,500 t/y across two modules. Sumitomo (SHI) Demag will showcase a 420 t PAC-E cell at K 2025, producing 30 ml medication cups in a 48-cavity tool with high-speed extraction. In partnership with Zubler Handling AG and Otto-Hofstetter AG, the setup targets three-second cycles and up to 57,600 cups per hour.
KHS has upgraded its rolling maintenance concept for beverage fillers, enabling faster changeovers, flexible testing and lower startup error rates. The approach cuts typical downtime from about two weeks to roughly 10 hours.
