The first ever Soudal plant in Poland is being constructed in Pionki, in the mazowieckie voivodship. The Belgian company is to invest 35 million PLN and intends to hire 100 persons.

SABIC to build new PP compounding plant in Belgium
SABIC is to build a new compounding plant in Genk, Belgium. The plant will have an initial production capacity of 110kt SABIC PP compound and 30kt of SABIC Stamax long glass fiber PP. It is expected to come on-stream at the beginning of 2010.

BASF biodegradable plastics expansion
BASF SE has announced plans for a significant expansion of its production plant for the biodegradable plastic Ecoflex at the company`s Ludwigshafen site. The move will raise Ecoflex production capacities from the current 14,000 by 60,000 metric tons per year. Production at the expanded plant will commence in the third quarter of 2010.
