Entries are open for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026. Seven categories recognise innovation and applications of recycled plastics, with winners to be announced during the 10th anniversary of PRS Europe in Amsterdam on 5–6 May 2026; the entry deadline is 5 December 2025.

Leonhard Kurz opens solar carport and rPET recycling plant

Leonhard Kurz has commissioned a 1,244 kWp solar carport and started ramp-up of an in-house facility to recycle transfer-foil carrier into rPET granulate at its Fürth headquarters. The PV system will supply much of the recycling plant’s energy and includes 32 EV charging points.

TotalEnergies and CooperVision use ISCC Plus PP in lens packs

TotalEnergies and CooperVision have enabled the use of ISCC Plus-certified polypropylene in blister packs for selected contact lenses, using a mass balance approach. The renewable polymer is derived mainly from sunflower and rapeseed oils processed at La Mède and is intended to improve packaging footprint without changing performance.
