Leonhard Kurz opens solar carport and rPET recycling plant

Leonhard Kurz has commissioned a 1,244 kWp solar carport and started ramp-up of an in-house facility to recycle transfer-foil carrier into rPET granulate at its Fürth headquarters. The PV system will supply much of the recycling plant’s energy and includes 32 EV charging points.

Leistritz Extrusionstechnik and Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen will combine preconditioning on a single-screw extruder with twin-screw compounding to produce high-quality regranulate in a single melt. New Henkel hot melt adhesive for PET labels supports recycling

Henkel has launched the Technomelt EM 335 RE hot melt adhesive for labeling PET bottles. The alkali-dispersible adhesive is up to 98% removable, operates at 110–140°C, and is Petcycle-approved, helping achieve cleaner PET flakes and meet PPWR recycled-content requirements.
