Taking place from 12th to 16th October, Fakuma is this year's first big international in-person event for the plastics sector to be held in Germany. Arburg is preparing for a major appearance at the trade fair in Friedrichshafen.
From 13 to 15 September 2021, Arburg will be exhibiting at Rapid + TCT in Chicago, Illinois/USA. In the Lakeside Centre, Level 2, Stand E7619, two freeformers and a large number of sample parts will demonstrate the capabilities of Arburg Plastic Freeforming (APF).
From machine manufacturer to think tank: a lot has changed at Arburg in recent years. The new film “Arburg Insights” offers fascinating insights into current developments and activities.
The Engel live e-symposium 2021 at the end of June was a massive success, attracting several thousand participants. In addition to an online conference, business talks and virtual plant tours, participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas in person in one-on-one meetings and explore the virtual showroom.
Innovative cube technology is significantly reducing cycle time. Previously, Arburg’s hybrid cube series had been primarily intended for efficient high-volume production in the packaging industry.
The new coinjection process, which Engel has developed in cooperation with Top Grade Molds, enables high and completely encapsulated recycled material content in the production of pails and is thus superior to conventional processes for sandwich injection moulding.
Available from June 2021: the upgraded WX153 robot from Wittmann – the ideal automation solution for injection molding applications on machines with clamping forces from 500 to 1,300 tons.
For efficiency in operation, injection molding production with large and heavy molds requires high heating capacity on the one hand, and correspondingly high flow rates in the cooling channels on the other hand.
The Wittmann Group has already been active on the Chinese market for many years. With the construction of a new sales and service center in Dongguan, its activities in Southern China will now be further strengthened.
Due to the restricted possibilities for direct personal contact, digital platforms to support sales are being discussed everywhere. At Wittmann, too, much thought has been given to the best possible way of reaching and supporting customers and partners during this difficult time – and beyond.
The Lightweight Future Day 2021, which was hosted by machine manufacturer and system solutions provider Engel in May, once again made it clear that lightweight is a key technology en route to a CO2-neutral world – and that thermoplastics will play a major role in this.
