Tomra Recycling appoints Lars Enge as executive vice president
Tomra Recycling has named Lars Enge as its new executive vice president. Enge joined Tomra in 2022 and has led group strategy, set up Tomra Horizon and managed the acquisition of c-trace GmbH.
Exolon Group to present Ecorange at K 2025
Exolon Group will showcase its Ecorange line of transparent polycarbonate and polyester sheets with a reduced carbon footprint at K 2025. The portfolio uses recycled and bio-circular feedstocks with ISCC Plus certification and supports closed-loop recycling.
Circular Valley Convention 2026 with BASF, Bayer, Evonik, Henkel
Circular Valley Convention will return on 11 and 12 March 2026 at Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf, co-hosted by BASF, Bayer, Evonik and Henkel. Exhibitor registration and ticket sales are open, with a super early bird offer valid until 30 September 2025.
Arburg spotlights arburgGREENworld at K 2025
At K 2025, Arburg will present its arburgGREENworld pavilion within the VDMA "The Power of Plastics Forum", focusing on water, circular economy and CO2 reduction. Live demonstrations will include turning HDPE ghost nets into model dolphins and a compact lecture programme with external experts.
Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026 open for entries
Entries are open for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026. Seven categories recognise innovation and applications of recycled plastics, with winners to be announced during the 10th anniversary of PRS Europe in Amsterdam on 5–6 May 2026; the entry deadline is 5 December 2025.
NGR and Kreyenborg collaborate on odour reduction in post-consumer plastics
Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen and Kreyenborg have formed a strategic collaboration to cut odours and emissions in recycled plastics. The modular system couples NGR's cascade regranulation and high-performance degassing with Kreyenborg's IR-based conditioning to improve pellet quality for higher-value applications.

Leonhard Kurz opens solar carport and rPET recycling plant
Leonhard Kurz has commissioned a 1,244 kWp solar carport and started ramp-up of an in-house facility to recycle transfer-foil carrier into rPET granulate at its Fürth headquarters. The PV system will supply much of the recycling plant’s energy and includes 32 EV charging points.
TotalEnergies and CooperVision use ISCC Plus PP in lens packs
TotalEnergies and CooperVision have enabled the use of ISCC Plus-certified polypropylene in blister packs for selected contact lenses, using a mass balance approach. The renewable polymer is derived mainly from sunflower and rapeseed oils processed at La Mède and is intended to improve packaging footprint without changing performance.
Syensqo and cylib hit milestone in EV battery lithium recovery
Syensqo and cylib reported pilot-scale production of high-purity lithium hydroxide from end-of-life EV batteries, recovering lithium from mixed chemistries on a single line. The collaboration integrates solvent extraction with hydrometallurgy and targets compliance with EU battery recovery thresholds.
