Plast Eurasia Istanbul opened its doors for the 34th time

Plast Eurasia Istanbul opened…

Plast Eurasia Istanbul, described by the organisers as the global meeting point of the plastics industry, opened its doors for the 34th time at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between 3 and 6 December. The International Istanbul Plastics Industry Fair is positioned as a key commercial platform for the Eurasian plastics sector, with this year's edition marked by a refreshed corporate identity and a dedicated events program organised under the "Plastics Days" theme. Exhibitors will present the latest technologies and products for plastics production, with a particular focus on plastic processing machinery, raw materials and chemicals.

The 34th International Istanbul Plastics Industry Fair is being prepared in collaboration with PAGEV. According to the organisers, the event aims to provide a platform where plastics manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers can meet industry professionals and buyers from a wide range of application sectors. The fair concept emphasises both business development and knowledge exchange, combining trade exhibition activities with conferences and thematic sessions devoted to current topics in the plastics value chain.

Refreshed corporate identity and communication focus

This year's Plast Eurasia Istanbul marks the start of a new phase in the fair's corporate identity. The organisers have redesigned the visual appearance of the event to reflect a more modern approach and to support its international positioning. The updated image is intended to communicate more clearly and effectively on subjects such as sustainability, technology, industrial transformation and global interaction.

The new vision was officially presented at the 18th PAGEV Turkish Plastics Industry Congress, held immediately before the fair. Within this framework, the refreshed branding is expected to be used across all communication channels and on site at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, including signage, printed materials and digital media associated with Plast Eurasia Istanbul.

Plast Eurasia plastics days: events and thematic sessions

An extended program of side events will run in parallel with the exhibition under the umbrella of "Plast Eurasia Plastics Days". Conceived as a platform for building new connections, sharing information and encouraging interaction among stakeholders, this events series is being launched for the first time this year to enrich the fair experience for visiting professionals.

The Plast Eurasia Plastics Days began one day before the opening of the fair, on 2 December. At Tüyap Palas, PAGEC organised a congress titled "Industry responsible for innovation, technology, and circular markets: Shaping the future of plastics". The congress is expected to bring together professionals from different segments of the plastics industry to discuss the role of innovation and technology in the development of circular markets and to address how the sector can respond to the requirements of a more sustainable economy.

Within the Plastics Days framework, several focused sessions are planned. These include "Sustainability and circular economy: The plastics industry's approach", which will examine how companies and associations in the sector address circularity, recycling and resource efficiency, and "Tüyap career path: Emerging technologies and new competencies in the plastics industry", dedicated to new skills and workforce requirements arising from technological change in plastics processing and related fields.

Throughout the duration of the fair, additional events under the heading "Plast Eurasia fair participants on stage" will take place. In these 30 minute sessions, exhibitor companies are offered the opportunity to present their value added products and innovative technologies directly to visitors. The format is designed to give participating firms a platform for detailed technical presentations, product introductions or case studies related to their solutions for the plastics market.

During these sessions, representatives from Niğtaş A.Ş., Guztec Polymers Turkey, Özhanmak Foreign Trade and Marketing Ltd., and TSP Grup Makina San. ve Tic. A.Ş. are scheduled to take the stage. They will present products and services that, according to the organisers, are intended to add value to the industry and reflect current trends in machinery, materials and processing technologies.

Exhibition profile and target industries

The fair is structured around two main product categories. The first is plastic production machinery, which typically covers processing equipment used for the manufacture of plastic products, while the second focuses on raw materials and chemicals used in plastics processing and formulation. By concentrating on these two core segments, the organisers aim to address the needs of both equipment manufacturers and material suppliers, as well as converters and end users seeking new solutions.

The visitor profile spans a wide range of downstream industries. Thousands of professionals are expected from sectors such as cables and wires, pipes, medical applications, toys, textiles and information technology. A particularly strong presence is anticipated from manufacturers in packaging, automotive, electrical and electronics, white goods and construction materials. For these industries, Plast Eurasia Istanbul functions as a sourcing and information platform for machinery, materials and technologies relevant to their plastics intensive applications.

The event's emphasis on both machinery and materials is intended to facilitate dialogue along the value chain, from polymer suppliers and compounders to processors and brand owners. The inclusion of congress sessions on circular markets and sustainability also reflects the increasing importance of regulatory developments and environmental considerations for many of the visiting sectors.
