K.D. Feddersen Distribution has established a new subsidiary in Porto, Portugal, under the name K.D. Feddersen Unipessoal, Lda. The move is part of the distributor’s European growth strategy and is intended to strengthen its presence in Southern Europe. With the opening of the new branch, the company aims to increase proximity to customers in Portugal through locally delivered services and technical support. Customers will have local access to the distributor’s portfolio of engineering plastics, supported by an experienced sales team that will address the specific needs of the Portuguese market.

This expansion marks an important milestone for the Feddersen Group and consolidates its position as a reliable partner for innovative material solutions in Europe.

Portfolio and local services

The product portfolio available through K.D. Feddersen Unipessoal, Lda includes engineering plastics from partners Celanese, Ascend, Trinseo, Teijin, Hyosung, Aurora, Skytech and Bio-Fed. The company’s offering in Portugal is supplemented by special application development services provided by its sister company M.TEC Engineering GmbH.

To reinforce logistics and delivery capabilities, K.D. Feddersen plans to establish a warehouse in the Porto metropolitan area by the end of the year. The facility is intended to improve product availability, raise service levels and enable flexible delivery within Portugal. Pedro Aires, Country Manager Portugal at K.D.
