At drinktec 2025, to be held in Munich on 15–19 September, Sidel announces a live demonstration of the world’s first laser blow molding technology. The company will also present solutions for PET packaging, including rPET, as well as for cans and glass. The program will include the NeXt Line concept, the latest advances in aseptic filling, and an overview of services aimed at improving performance.
The booth is intended to reflect the entire customer journey, from package design through production and complete lines to service to maintain performance. In personalized demonstrations, Sidel emphasizes collaboration and innovation as levers to raise efficiency, quality and flexibility while reducing resource consumption. Topics will include lighter bottle designs, the use of 100% recycled PET, partial labels and complete lines for returnable packaging, as well as solutions designed to meet the requirements of the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation).
"We invite all visitors to take part in a special event where they can see and learn about our latest technologies and talk with the experts who developed them. This is not a time for incremental change but a breakthrough for the industry; our laser-based innovations open new possibilities. It is time to leverage all our extensive expertise to address the most pressing challenges of today," says Pietro Cassani, Sidel President and CEO.
Sidel stresses that the demonstrations will target measurable outcomes from the standpoint of high-volume production and sustainability, such as reducing package mass without compromising mechanical properties and lowering consumption of materials and utilities. Announced are also examples of designs in which a lighter bottle retains high strength.
Laser blow molding technology
The highlight will be a live demonstration of what is described as the world’s first laser blow molding technology. According to the announcement, it represents a significant step forward in line performance, product quality, ease of operation and environmental aspects. The program will include demonstrations of bottle designs that combine weight reduction with strength and shape stability.
Aseptic filling, complete lines and services
In the area of sensitive products, Sidel will present advances in aseptic filling technology, with a particular focus on using digital tools to enhance food safety while increasing flexibility, efficiency and ease of operation. In the section dedicated to complete lines, the NeXt Line concept for PET and rPET will be shown, engineered for high efficiency with minimal resource consumption, built on operational data and forward-looking solutions. The novelties will also include lines for cans and glass packaging, with an emphasis on sustainability, quality and configuration flexibility.
The services segment is intended to illustrate how combining packaging expertise and digital technologies can improve performance across the equipment life cycle. Presentations will cover the latest services and tailored solutions focused on process stability, line availability and cost optimization.
Sidel’s participation at drinktec 2025 is scheduled in Hall A6, stand 361.
