Plastpol 2026 as a global technology and business platform

Plastpol 2026 as a global…

The International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing Plastpol, held at Targi Kielce for three decades, is among the key industry events in Europe and is steadily gaining importance on the global market. The jubilee 30th edition of the trade fair, to be held from 19 to 22 May 2026, is shaping up to be an event with an even more international profile. Companies and specialists from many regions of the world will come to Kielce, from North America, through Europe and Asia, to Arab countries. The organisers emphasise the role of the fair as a platform for investments, contracts and the development of supply chains in the plastics and rubber sector, as well as a venue for presenting advanced processing technologies and recycling solutions.

Three decades of building Plastpol’s international position

“For three decades we have been building Plastpol’s position as a meeting place for the global plastics industry. Thanks to the participation of companies from different continents, the event has become a catalyst for investments, relationships, knowledge and contracts,” says Dr Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce. Over 30 years, Plastpol has evolved from a local exhibition in the 1990s into one of the key technology and business platforms in Europe. Today, the fair brings together around 600 companies from more than 30 countries, including Germany, Austria, Italy, Turkey, China, India, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Visitors come to Kielce from 50 countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, treating Plastpol as an important date in the industry events calendar. The organisers note that throughout the year they are present at trade fairs in different parts of the world, and the Plastpol brand is recognised, among others, in Germany, Asian countries and Saudi Arabia. “During the year we are present at many industry events in various parts of the world. In Germany, Asia and Saudi Arabia, Plastpol is well known and appreciated. Interest in participating in our event is very high, including from companies that we have not yet hosted. At the 2026 edition, global brands from four continents will be present,” stresses Kamil Perz, project director at Targi Kielce. National pavilions are also planned at the fair, to be prepared by, among others, Germany, Austria, India, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

Scope of the exhibition and Plastpol’s role in global supply chains

Plastpol is known for presenting solutions offered by global leaders in plastics and rubber processing. Exhibitors include both manufacturers of machinery and automated processing lines, as well as raw material suppliers, recycling companies and entities servicing international supply chains. During the 2026 edition, companies from Europe, Asia, North America and Arab countries will present, among other things, innovative injection moulding machines, extruders and blow moulding machines, recycling lines, automation systems, automated production cells and robots supporting processing operations.

Raw materials will play a significant role in the exhibition, including virgin and recycled pellets, masterbatches and additives for plastics, enabling a comprehensive insight into the value chain in the processing sector. “The full product offering of companies from 30 countries allows exhibitors and professional visitors to build relationships that result in the creation of entirely new supply chains. Long-term partnerships are formed here that have a real impact on the development of companies and the sector,” notes Kamil Perz, Plastpol project director.

Investment contracts and live technology demonstrations

The Plastpol trade fair in Poland is a venue where business talks often translate into specific investment decisions. During the 2025 edition, agreements were concluded covering, among other things, the purchase of injection moulding machines, recycling lines and raw materials for processing. Live machine demonstrations play a key role in participants’ decision-making processes. Manufacturers present technologies in conditions close to industrial ones, which makes it possible to assess their output, process stability and implementation potential in production plants.

The practical character of the exhibition and the possibility of observing complete processing lines in operation support the comparison of solutions offered by different suppliers and the verification of declared technical parameters. For many participants, this has a direct impact on decisions regarding the modernisation of machinery fleets, process automation or investments in recycling installations.

Gold Medals, the Platinum Plast gala and technical programme

A permanent element of Plastpol is the competition for the Targi Kielce Gold Medals. These awards are given to the most advanced technologies and products that address key challenges of today’s market, such as automation, energy efficiency and the development of recycling. The submitted solutions are assessed by a competition committee composed of industry experts, and the awards are presented during the Platinum Plast gala.

“Plastpol acts as an incubator of innovations and trends in the industry and is also a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience,” emphasises Kamil Perz. The fair is accompanied by conferences and seminars, including the Plastech Info event and presentations of reports prepared by PlasticsEurope Polska. The technical programme covers issues of relevance to the entire plastics value chain, from raw materials and processing technologies to recycling and market regulations.

Another important part of the fair is the Omniplast competition, which promotes specialist knowledge and competences in the plastics and rubber processing industry. The co-organiser of this initiative is the online portal Tworzywa.pl.

Jubilee edition Plastpol 2026

The organisers stress that the 30th edition of Plastpol will be an opportunity to summarise the development of the event to date and to recall its beginnings. “Plastpol 2026 will thus be a meeting platform for the global plastics industry. Together with manufacturers, distributors, experts, partners and, of course, visitors, we will celebrate the fair’s anniversary. We will recall the first edition which, although it occupied only one hall, provided a strong impulse for the development of the industry,” says project director Kamil Perz.

The 30th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing Plastpol will be held from 19 to 22 May 2026 at Targi Kielce in Poland. Detailed information about the event, including participation conditions for exhibitors and visitors, is available on the organiser’s website at plastpol.com.
