The propylene price fell by EUR 25/t in November. The first week of the month was sluggish, as market participants were assessing prices and material availability. Towards the end of the second week of November, the polypropylene market in Poland stabilised. Demand for polypropylene remains sufficient to support stable price levels.
As ChemCourier had anticipated, freight rates on the main container routes rose again in the last week, reflecting sustained demand pressure and limited container availability. This increase is not yet a key focus for market participants and has not clearly translated into prices.
Key market observations:
- Market activity for homopolymers remained moderate this month;
- Customers are increasingly placing orders for material with January delivery;
- The average price of homopolymers and copolymers in Poland has not changed compared with the beginning of the month;
- According to market participants, demand for copolymers was higher than in September and October.
