Syensqo to debut at K 2025 with specialty polymers portfolio

Syensqo to debut at K 2025…

Syensqo, the specialty polymers and advanced materials company spun off from Solvay in December 2023, will make its first appearance at K 2025. The company plans to showcase a broad set of material solutions aligned with four megatrends across multiple end-use areas. Syensqo will be present at Booth C61, Hall 6 from October 8 to 15 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The presentation builds on more than 160 years of scientific heritage referenced by the new corporate identity.

“Syensqo was founded on the belief that science can transform industries and improve lives. At K 2025, we will demonstrate how advanced materials and specialty chemicals unlock new possibilities for customers worldwide”, said Peter Browning, President of Syensqo’s Specialty Polymers business. “Syensqo’s global presence and technical know-how enables us to partner closely with customers, delivering sustainable solutions that drive innovation, improve performance, and support their transition to a low-carbon future”.

The company’s portfolio includes high-performance polymers such as Amodel, Ryton, Radel, Udel, Ixef, Solef, Kalix, Tecnoflon, Aquivion and KetaSpire, as well as advanced formulations including Cyanox, Cyasorb Cynergy Solutions, Addibond and Rhodiasolv green solvents. Syensqo highlights its customer innovation centers which support rapid product customization and prototyping to match fast development cycles.

At K 2025 the exhibit will address four megatrends, described as powering electrification, advancing digitalization, enriching life and extending lifetime. Cited applications include e-motors, compressors, single-use surgical instruments and other healthcare implants, bikes, semiconductors, electronic components for consumer devices, and advanced components for hydrogen technologies, alongside a 3D-scale model of a hydrogen-powered aircraft.

Global footprint and investments

Syensqo reports a network of 62 industrial sites and 12 research and innovation centers worldwide, combining local support with global reach. The company references recent investments across North America, Europe and Asia intended to reinforce service to customers in each region.

Sustainability and circular portfolio

The company states targets to achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 by 2040 and a 23% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030. Its Echo portfolio of bio-based and recycled polymers supports a goal of reaching 18% circular sales by 2030. Syensqo also points to major investments in Spinetta aimed at emissions reduction and clean energy transition.
