Change of CEO at Sikora from…

Sikora GmbH has announced a planned change in the company’s operational leadership. Effective July 1, 2026, Dr. Christian Frank will hand over operational responsibility in the CEO position to Alaaddin Aydin, who also currently serves as managing director. The company says that this decision marks the next stage of its development, while also ensuring management continuity and an orderly succession process. Within the general management, Dr. Christian Frank will in future focus on Sikora’s strategic development, overseeing a smooth handover process, as well as evaluating potential acquisitions and growth initiatives in the area of mergers and acquisitions. As Christian Frank stated: "By arranging the succession early on, we are creating continuity and ensuring that Sikora can consistently continue on its successful path. At the same time, I am looking forward to focusing more strongly on the strategic development of the company and new growth opportunities in the near future".

Upon assuming the CEO role, Alaaddin Aydin will take over all business areas previously overseen by Christian Frank, including research and development, operations and finance, and will be responsible for their further development. Holger Lieder, also a member of Sikora’s general management, will retain responsibility for sales, service, marketing and internal services. Alaaddin Aydin said: "Sikora has a strong team, a clear direction, and promising future prospects in the field of measurement and control systems. I look forward to shaping the next steps in our development together with the team and capitalizing on the opportunities that lie ahead".

In addition to the new CEO role, Alaaddin Aydin will also remain in his strategic position as VP of Maag Germany. According to the company, this is intended to combine the perspectives of Maag and Sikora within one structure and strategically leverage synergies for the company’s continued success. Thorsten Thuemen, in turn, will assume day-to-day operational management of Maag Germany as managing director from July 1, 2026.

Handover plan and further measures

After the transition period has been completed, Dr. Christian Frank will leave Sikora at the end of 2027, at his own request, to take on new entrepreneurial roles and challenges outside the group. The company emphasizes that the early reorganization and the planned joint handover period are intended to create a foundation for sustaining the company’s success over the long term.

Sikora also states that it remains on a growth path. The company is investing in a new building to create additional space for logistics and new jobs. At the same time, the research and development team is being expanded in a targeted manner, which is intended to accelerate innovation and enable the company to offer customers better solutions. The company is also evaluating opportunities in mergers and acquisitions in order to strategically expand its portfolio.

According to the information provided, these measures are intended to strengthen Sikora’s position as a technology partner and create a foundation for further sustainable growth.
