Women in Plastics Italy will take part in Plast 2026, which will be held from 9 to 12 June 2026 in Milan. The organisation will be present with its own exhibition space in Hall 15, at booth A73/B74. According to the announcement, participation in the event marks another stage in the development of the association, which was founded in 2024. The aim of Women in Plastics Italy is to promote female talent, support a culture of inclusion, develop professional networking and build a more informed dialogue on the role of plastics in society and industry. The statement notes that in just over a year the organisation has become a recognised point of reference for professionals, companies, associations and stakeholders operating across the entire plastics value chain. It is developing initiatives focused on training, outreach, networking and discussion related to sustainability, leadership and innovation.
Plast 2026 is also expected to provide an opportunity to present a significant achievement from this year, namely the launch of Women in Plastics Austria. This is the first international chapter inspired by the model developed by Women in Plastics Italy. According to the organisation, this step confirms the strength of a project built on collaboration, skills development and the creation of professional relationships capable of generating a positive impact. During the four days of the trade fair, the WIP Italy booth is intended to function as an open space for dialogue and exchange, designed to encourage new connections among individuals, companies and organisations committed to building a more inclusive, innovative and future-oriented plastics sector.
Women in Plastics Italy President Miriam Olivi said: "Plast is the ideal place to meet the industry, strengthen existing relationships and build new ones. The growth of our association and the launch of the Austrian chapter demonstrate a strong desire for dialogue, collaboration and participation. We want to continue creating opportunities, fostering meaningful exchange and contributing to an increasingly open and inclusive industrial culture."
