RadiciGroup will exhibit at K 2025 in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October, Hall 6, Stand B10. The group, a producer of polyamide polymers and engineering polymers, will present new materials and application solutions for strategic markets with an emphasis on performance, safety and sustainability. Erico Spini, global marketing manager of RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers, underlined the company’s sector coverage, including automotive with a focus on e-mobility, E&E, water management and consumer and industrial goods. He added that the approach is to work closely with customers until projects are underway, leveraging competence, flexibility and a global footprint to ensure consistent quality and technical support in every market.
In e-mobility, the company will show orange-coloured materials for high-voltage components, as required by safety standards. It is also presenting latest-generation flame-retardant polyamides that are free of halogens and red phosphorus and offer processing advantages in injection moulding. The portfolio of flame-retardant, halogen-free PBT products under the Radiflam B line has been expanded with a version that adds hydrolysis resistance. Additionally, the group is sharing new data on polyamides in advanced development that combine flame retardancy with hydrolysis resistance for applications in the thermal management of batteries and power electronic systems. According to Mr. Spini: "At the fair, we have numerous solutions on display for this continuously evolving market. We are showcasing our latest new developments in orange-coloured materials for high-voltage components, which are required to be identified in this way by safety standards. Moreover, we are presenting a range of latest-generation flame retardant polyamides that are halogen-and-red-phosphorus free and offer noteworthy processing advantages during injection moulding."
Focus areas and materials updates
- Photovoltaic: a line of red-phosphorus flame-retardant polyamide 66 products, Radiflam A. Two grades address multiple needs, including low-temperature impact strength, retention of properties after prolonged outdoor exposure and a dramatic reduction in corrosion of metal contacts.
- Home appliances: halogen-free polyamides with high mechanical performance and resistance to hydrolysis, including materials meeting the required standards for appliances operating without supervision in accordance with IEC 60335.
Sustainability and lower-impact solutions
On sustainability, RadiciGroup is enhancing both the Bionside range of materials from renewable sources and the Renycle range of mechanically recycled materials. The scope now includes special and high-performance versions, for example flame-retardant grades. These solutions are enabled by precise feedstock selection and careful recovery processes. An innovative electric vehicle battery module developed according to ecodesign principles is on display at the stand to illustrate these developments.

Metal replacement engineering and case study
To support customers’ environmental targets, the group makes available its Engineering Service for metal replacement projects. Lightweighting of parts, in automotive and other sectors, significantly lowers CO2 emissions over the entire life cycle. Mr. Spini noted: "For instance, by replacing a die-cast aluminium component with one made of Radilon A RV500RW (PA66-50% FV), we can achieve a benefit in environmental impact greater than 50% in terms of GWP (kg CO2 eq./kg)." A successful application presented at the fair is Genny Zero, a self-balancing personal transporter whose total weight was reduced from 110 to 60 kg by replacing metal with polyamide engineering polymers. The result, achieved with partners Acerbis and Genny Factory from design to industrialization, is a more dynamic, more stable and safer vehicle with improved resistance to multiple stresses.
Mr. Spini concluded: "In an international scenario, where supply and production chains are increasingly more complex and geographically distributed, our global presence, with production and sales sites in Europe, Asia, North America and South America, allows us to work alongside customers worldwide and to consolidate our position in high value-added sectors."

AutoInsight: navigating materials in 3D
Visitors can explore RadiciGroup AutoInsight, a digital tool for viewing a car in 3D and visualizing components made with the group’s materials. The tool covers six application areas, namely interior, exterior, electric vehicles, ICE powertrain, chassis and EE Lighting, and shows the materials used and their distinctive properties for each segment. AutoInsight works on PCs, tablets and smartphones and allows users to quickly highlight RadiciGroup materials and their strengths, save favourites and download technical information. The level of detail can be customized to the visitor profile based on interests and skills.
