Rampf Group presents a combined materials and equipment portfolio for lighting manufacturers, comprising two-component polyurethane and silicone sealing systems and automated mixing and dispensing solutions. According to the company, the reactive resins provide long-term protection of housings and components against dust, moisture, water and cleaning agents, with sealing performance specified up to IP67. The materials are designed for indoor and outdoor use, with resistance to UV radiation and elevated temperatures. In production, purpose-built dispensing systems apply single- and multi-component gaskets with high repeatability, as stand-alone cells or integrated into existing lines. For series manufacturing, FlexSpeed adjusts robot motion and volumetric output to shorten cycles by up to 50 percent while maintaining gasket geometry, including on large linear luminaires. Additional features cited include low water absorption, short reaction times that support fast handling, minimal assembly forces, and stable, abrasion-resistant surfaces. Selected grades are certified to UL94 V0, UL50 and UL50e.
Sealing materials for lighting components
Rampf Advanced Polymers offers a portfolio of sealing systems based on polyurethane and silicone, marketed as Raku PUR and Raku SIL. These two-component reactive resins are formulated to provide reliable, long-lasting sealing of lighting components against dust, moisture, water and cleaning agents, with protection specified up to IP67. The materials are intended for both indoor and outdoor applications and feature resistance to UV radiation and high temperatures.
- Low water absorption
- Minimal assembly forces
- Short reaction times for fast component processing
- Stable and abrasion-resistant surface
- Exceptional aging resistance
- Certifications available: UL94 V0, UL50, UL50e
According to the company, these sealing materials are used by lighting manufacturers worldwide and are designed for long service life under demanding operating conditions.
Automated mixing and dispensing
Mixing and dispensing systems from Rampf Production Systems target fast cycle times and high flexibility in lighting manufacturing. With a high degree of automation and autonomy, the equipment enables precise and reproducible application of single- and multi-component sealing systems, both as stand-alone solutions and integrated into existing production lines. The systems process low- and high-viscosity foams, grooves and flat profiles with high accuracy.
In series production, FlexSpeed technology synchronizes dispensing output with axis feed and uses precise volumetric forced dispensing. The approach is specified to reduce cycle times by up to 50 percent. The dispensing robot can reach speeds of up to 40 m/min on straight paths and decelerates smoothly at corners and curves, supporting consistently high sealing quality. Even with large-format lighting components such as linear luminaires, the seal geometry is maintained. FlexSpeed is also intended to increase machine utilization while protecting mechanical components, since only brief periods of full load occur. Speed-dependent dispensing reduces wear and supports sustainable efficiency improvements.
