Plastpol 2026: reports, debates…

The 30th edition of the Plastpol International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing is expected to serve in 2026 as a platform for dialogue and business contacts for companies from the plastics industry and sectors using plastics processing technologies. The organiser announces a set of accompanying events including report premieres, debates on the industry’s development directions, B2B meetings and conferences devoted to market, technological and regulatory topics. The fair will take place at Targi Kielce, and the offer of 600 companies from 31 countries is to be presented to visitors from several dozen countries, representing, among others, packaging, medical, electronics and heavy industry. Both exhibitors and visitors are to have the opportunity to take part in substantive and business events scheduled for individual days of the fair.

Connect Plast, a new B2B meeting format

A new element of the programme is Connect Plast, the International B2B Matchmaking Meetings, aimed at supporting direct business relationships. The event is organised by Targi Kielce and the tworzywa.pl online service and is scheduled for the last day of the fair, 22 May. The format is to be based on pre-arranged meetings tailored to the participants’ business profiles. Applications are accepted at connectplast.targikielce.pl, and registration is to remain open until 15 May. Participants are expected to take part in a series of short business talks, which within a few hours enable identification of potential partners, initial negotiations and assessment of cooperation potential.

Plastics Industry Meeting 2026 before the fair starts

On the day preceding the fair, Plastics Industry Meeting 2026 is to take place, organised by the PlasticsEurope Polska Foundation and the Polish Union of Plastics Processors. The meeting is scheduled for 18 May at Targi Kielce. The programme is expected to include a discussion of key areas of market functioning, such as the competitiveness of European industry, regulatory changes and the future of the circular economy. The debates are to involve market experts, including representatives of producers, processors, industry organisations and public institutions. Registration is handled at connect.pl@plasticseurope.org.

Reports and market data in the PlasticsEurope programme

On the first day of the fair, presentations of market data and sessions devoted to the circular economy have been announced. Anna Kozera-Szałkowska, Managing Director of Plastics Europe Polska, points to the role of data in business decision-making: "The Polish plastics industry has made tremendous progress since the first Plastpol Fair. One of the tools that made it possible was... data". She adds: "Analyses, statistics and reports made it possible to track trends and take informed business decisions. Today they still play an invaluable role in every industrial sector". The schedule includes the Opening Conference (10:30) and the Circular Plastics Compass Starter session (12:00), available on-site and via online streaming. During these sessions, the Plastics Europe report "Plastics in the circular economy, analysis of the situation in Europe" is to be presented, providing a review of data on plastics production and processing, as well as waste collection and treatment. The provided information notes that this year, for the first time, the report analyses new data, including trade flows of plastics from fossil-based and circular feedstocks, to provide a more complete picture of material migration in Europe. Both conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, 19 May, in capsule 502 in hall 5 at Targi Kielce.

Plastech Info and a conference on PPWR

On the second day of the fair, the tworzywa.pl service is to organise the Plastech Info Seminar in capsule 502 in hall 5. According to the announcement, the scope will cover technical aspects of processing and implementing innovations in production, including new materials, optimisation of technological processes, energy efficiency and integration of production systems. Speakers are to include engineers, technologists and solution providers.

On the third day of the fair, 21 May, a conference devoted to the PPWR regulation is scheduled, organised by the eplastics.pl portal. It is to focus on requirements concerning packaging design, recycling levels, producers’ obligations and the impact of regulation on companies’ business models. The information emphasises that participation is intended to enable earlier preparation for legislative changes and reduction of operational risk related to implementing new provisions. The event is to be held in capsule 502.

Scope of events and participant profile

The communication indicates that combining matchmaking, market analyses, strategic debates and technological events is intended to create a coherent ecosystem supporting participants’ business decisions. The expected effects include access to up-to-date data and forecasts, a better understanding of regulatory directions and their impact on company operations, as well as the opportunity to build business relationships and initiate international cooperation.

Plastpol, the 30th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing, is scheduled for 19–22 May 2026 at Targi Kielce.
