Soon after it was founded in 1952, the “K” established itself as the world's leading trade fair for the manufacture and processing of plastics and rubber. The extensive three-year cycle in which it has been held ever since ensures an enormously high density of information and innovation within the overall show of exhibits on display there. Expectations are correspondingly high when Düsseldorf hosts around 180,000 trade fair visitors in “K fever” in the second week of October 2025! Kraiburg TPE has already been preparing for this for several months. 150 square meters of the approximately 175,000 square meters of exhibitor space will once again be reserved for the TPE manufacturer from Waldkraiburg on the renowned “Gummistraße” (with stand location “Hall 6, booth #C58-03”).
“Shaping the Circular Economy”, “Embracing Digitalization”, “Caring about People” - these three selected “hot topics” will set the pace for this year's trade fair. Anyone looking for clear answers within these topics will feel right at home at Kraiburg TPE during the eight days of the trade fair from October 8-15. “Our customers' requirements are largely aimed at these topics,” says Kraiburg TPE CEO Oliver Zintner, focusing on the current market situation: "With the TPE solutions we develop for them, we create the very best conditions for accelerating and optimizing internal and external cycles. At the same time, we always have the needs of the end customer in mind. Our focus is on the development of soft, elastic TPEs that protect health and the environment or eliminate hazards on the one hand, but also facilitate the processing and subsequent handling of the products on the other."
In addition to presenting its own range of products and services, Kraiburg TPE focused on two new product series at K 2025:
With the new development of the FC/CM3/AD1 series, Kraiburg TPE was able to set a strong accent in the consumer industries sector, especially in the food packaging sector. The new compounds comply with both the European Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 and Title 21, Part 170 through 178 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR) of the US FDA. They were specifically developed for TPE applications with contact to fatty foods or cosmetics and impress here - keywords “controlled migration” and “polar adhesion” - with the lowest migration values between the plastic packaging and the food transported in it. In addition to their processability in multi-component injection molding, the compounds of the new FC/CM3/AD1 series offer further advantageous packaging properties such as a pleasant feel and high material robustness, which combines durability with high quality.
Another product highlight from Kraiburg TPE at K 2025 will be compounds from the FR3 series. The FR3 products stand for TPEs whose flame retardancy has already been improved in the third generation. Based on the successfully passed tests, all requirements of the European standard for railroad applications DIN EN 45545-2 R22 HL3 and R23 HL3 have been met. In addition to their particular suitability for fire protection, TPEs from the FR3 series have other specific material properties that make them ideal for applications in this environment, including excellent PP adhesion and processing in standard injection molding and extrusion processes.
