Klöckner Pentaplast has announced its participation in the Foodtech 2026 trade fair in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where it will present its portfolio of rigid and flexible packaging for the first time at this event. The company plans to showcase solutions for key segments of fresh and prepared food, addressing the needs of both the regional market and export-oriented customers.
Foodtech 2026, covering the food, beverage, packaging and technology sectors, will bring together more than 160 exhibitors. Klöckner Pentaplast will be among them, presenting its latest packaging solutions for all major fresh and prepared food sectors. The company’s stand will be a place to present both rigid and flexible films, designed to meet the specific requirements of different food product categories.
Presentation of solutions for regional and export markets
The event, which will take place from 17 to 21 February in Plovdiv, is an opportunity for Klöckner Pentaplast to reach a broader audience from Europe and Asia. At its stand during Foodtech 2026, the company will present its latest rigid and flexible packaging solutions that support the needs of local markets as well as supply chains focused on export.
As emphasized by Selda Avci Boer, Sales Director for rigids and flexibles in Turkey and the Middle East and Africa region, each market involves different challenges for packaging. Therefore, at Foodtech 2026 the company intends to showcase solutions tailored to the requirements of the main fresh food categories. This applies in particular to the meat and protein segment and to dairy products, where packaging must combine product protection, shelf life and shelf presentation requirements.
Rigid and flexible materials for fresh food
The portfolio presented by Klöckner Pentaplast during Foodtech 2026 will include, among others, rigid films for form, fill and seal (FFS) processes and thermoforming, as well as flexible barrier films and preformed trays. These solutions are designed to provide the required functionality throughout the fresh food supply chain.
Selda Avci Boer notes that the key element of all proposed solutions is the combination of performance parameters with environmental aspects.
