Delta Tecnic showcased masterbatch solutions at Wire Expo 2026

Delta Tecnic showcased masterbatch…

Delta Tecnic, a company specializing in the production of masterbatches for the cable industry and PVC processing, presented its latest solutions during Wire Expo 2026, organized by The Wire Association International. The event took place at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The presentation focused on solutions intended for various cable market segments, including telecommunications, automotive, and photovoltaic and energy installations. The company presented materials developed to address requirements related to dispersion, color homogeneity, process stability, and the service life of wires and cables operating under varied conditions. According to the information provided by the company, the offering was aimed both at the design requirements of modern cables and at improving the efficiency of manufacturing processes on the part of cable producers.

Solutions for selected cable applications

In the area of fiber optics and telecommunications, Delta Tecnic showcased micromasterbatch solutions developed in response to the growing demand for smaller, lighter, and more compact cables. These materials, prepared in the form of reduced-size pellets, are intended to improve dispersion, color uniformity, opacity, and visual identification in applications involving thin-wall cables. As stated, these solutions are designed for constructions in which color consistency and reliable identification are critical, including applications with very low wall thickness.

In the automotive cable segment, the company presented solutions for wiring systems that must meet stringent requirements in terms of thermal resistance, property retention during aging, and long-term color stability. These parameters are particularly important in applications for electric and hybrid vehicles, where wires are exposed to demanding operating conditions. Delta Tecnic states that its masterbatches are designed to provide uniform and durable coloration across different thermal classes, including high-temperature applications, while maintaining performance under extreme conditions.

With regard to photovoltaic and energy cables, the company reported more than 40 years of experience in the cable industry and presented masterbatch solutions intended for applications with high technical requirements. At its stand, it showcased an offering for photovoltaic installations, developed for polymer compounds commonly used in this sector. It includes UV protection options and formulations designed to improve the durability of cables operated in demanding outdoor environments, where long-term retention of performance is critical.

Broader material portfolio

In addition to solutions for the indicated segments, Delta Tecnic also presented other products from its cable portfolio. The company pointed to masterbatches for TPU compounds, halogen-free flame-retardant applications, and high-performance masterbatches for fluoropolymers such as FEP, ETFE, and PFA.

According to the information presented, emphasis was placed on maintaining color consistency, dispersion quality, and process stability. This is intended to support cable manufacturers in reducing non-conforming production, material losses, and the need for rework. In the company's assessment, this approach translates into greater efficiency of manufacturing processes and may support the development of a more sustainable cable sector.
