Delta Tecnic will participate in Plastics & Rubber 2026, a specialist trade fair dedicated to the plastics and rubber industry, which will take place on 11–12 March at the La Farga center in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). The company will present its capabilities as a global supplier of solutions for plastics processors, combining its expertise in masterbatches, technical additives and specialty pigments. The participation will include both the presentation of the product portfolio at the exhibition booth and a contribution to the TechFocus technical conference program, prepared jointly with Baerlocher and focused on a new family of polymer processing aids.
Scope of Delta Tecnic's presence at Plastics & Rubber 2026
Delta Tecnic's booth will be located at number 230 in the exhibition area of La Farga – Activity Center in Barcelona. During the event, visitors will receive an overview of the company's three main business areas aimed at the plastics processing sector.
The first pillar is the masterbatch division, which will present color solutions and additives developed to optimize the properties of polymer materials in various processing methods. The offered color concentrates and additives are designed to ensure color consistency, stability of parameters and production efficiency, tailored to the requirements of specific applications in the plastics industry.
The second area, Trading Plastics, covers distribution on the Iberian market of technical solutions manufactured by international companies such as Baerlocher, Cabot, Rifra, Ad Trading and Kennametal. Within this activity, Delta Tecnic supplies processors with advanced additives that improve material processability, formulation stability and the efficiency of industrial processes. This includes, among others, additives aimed at stabilizing process parameters, reducing processing issues and increasing the repeatability of product quality.
The third pillar is the Trading Pigments division, which will present a portfolio of high-quality pigments and effect pigments from manufacturers such as Eckart (Altana Group), Cabot, Cinic, Aralon, Bioglitter SILI and G&J. These solutions are used in plastic applications where color, visual effect and material stability under operating and processing conditions are key. The offered pigments and special effects are targeted at applications that require precise control of color, gloss, optical effects or resistance to external factors.
By combining its capabilities in masterbatches, technical additives and specialty pigments, Delta Tecnic underlines its role as a technical partner supporting processors in optimizing formulations and processing operations, both in functional and aesthetic terms.
Technical processing aids: Baerolub AID presentation
As part of the accompanying program at Plastics & Rubber 2026, Delta Tecnic, in cooperation with Baerlocher, will take part in the TechFocus conference series. The presentation will provide a detailed overview of the properties and applications of the Baerolub AID family, a new group of polymer processing aids (PPA) that are free of PFAS and siloxanes.
These additives have been developed to optimize polymer behavior during extrusion. Their purpose is to improve material flow, reduce pressure on the die and limit surface defects of products, which translates into greater process stability and improved production efficiency. The use of the new PPAs is intended to improve the quality of final products while reducing downtime and processing problems associated with unstable flow or surface degradation phenomena.
The presentation will also address current challenges related to replacing traditional fluoropolymer-based PPAs in the context of tightening regulatory requirements. Technical and application aspects of reformulating materials will be discussed, as well as the opportunities offered by new solutions when designing more sustainable material compositions that comply with existing and forthcoming regulations.
The presentation entitled "Successful Replacement of PFAS-Classified PPAs" will take place on 11 March from 11:40 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Hall 9. The speaker will be Martin Frantzen, Technical Account Manager – Special Additives at Baerlocher, in cooperation with Delta Tecnic. The session is aimed at specialists interested in the practical aspects of implementing alternative processing aids in existing production lines.
