Ampacet to Showcase Advanced Masterbatch Solutions for Circular Plastics at PRSE 2026

Ampacet to Showcase Advanced…

Ampacet, a global leader in masterbatch solutions, will present a comprehensive portfolio of innovative technologies designed to enhance the quality, performance and recyclability of plastics at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE) 2026 in Amsterdam (Booth L70).

Focused on enabling higher use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials while meeting performance, aesthetic requirements, Ampacet’s solutions support the transition toward a circular plastics economy.

Enhancing Recycled Plastics Performance

Ampacet will highlight its advanced scavenging and stabilization technologies that address key challenges associated with recycled materials:

  • SLIP Scavenger 1540: A next-generation solution that captures excess slip additives in recycled polyethylene, ensuring better control of the coefficient of friction (COF). This improves machinability and prevents issues such as bag slippage in stacked applications. Ampacet SLIP SCAVENGER 1540 has been selected as a finalist for Product Technology Innovation of the Year in Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026.
  • OdorClear range: High-performance odor-absorbing masterbatches that neutralize and trap unwanted odors from PCR resins, enabling higher recycled content in packaging without compromising consumer experience.
  • AA Scavenger: Designed for PET and rPET bottles, this solution reduces acetaldehyde levels by up to 80%, preserving taste and protecting product quality while enabling increased recycled content. Also available for use in rPP-rich PP compounds for the automotive industry and others.
  • Desiccant masterbatches: These solutions effectively absorb moisture present in post-consumer resins, improving processing stability and final product aesthetics.
  • ThermProtect: A stabilization technology that minimizes thermal degradation and yellowing of recycled polymers (PET, PE…), allowing higher recycled content without sacrificing clarity, aesthetics  or performance.

Improving Recycling Compatibility and Packaging Design

Ampacet will also present solutions that optimize packaging design for recyclability:

  • REC-NIR-Black: A carbon black-free masterbatch enabling black plastic packaging to be detected and sorted using near-infrared (NIR) technology, giving black plastics a viable recycling pathway.
  • Nucleating agents: Improve stiffness and mechanical performance of polypropylene while enabling downgauging and maintaining compatibility with recycling processes.
  • Gastop-Flex: A technology platform that enhances gas barrier properties of polyolefins. It enables down-gauging of general-purpose polyolefins packaging while maintaining moisture and oxygen barrier performance. It also allows to reduce EVOH content below the 5% RecyClass threshold, supporting recyclable barrier packaging.
  • LaserMark and LaserMarkFlex: Laser marking solutions for high-contrast, ink-free marking, supporting recycling-friendly packaging design.

Revitalizing Mixed and Recycled Polymer Streams

Ampacet’s ReVive portfolio focuses on improving the quality and consistency of recycled plastics:

  • ReVive 311E and ReVive 324: Compatibilizers that homogenize mixed polymer streams (e.g., PE, PP, PA, EVOH), improving mechanical properties and enabling upcycling into higher-value applications.
  •  ReVive 614: A performance enhancer that restores impact strength to near-virgin levels, improves thermal stability and supports higher PCR content while maintaining recyclability (density <1 for sink-float separation).

Supporting Compliance with Evolving Regulations

Ampacet is also addressing increasing regulatory pressures with safer and future-compliant alternatives:

  • UVBlock 1496: A UV barrier masterbatch formulated without Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), offering a sustainable alternative to benzotriazole-based additives and approved for food contact.
  • PFAS-free Polymer Processing Aids (PPA): Designed to replace fluorinated additives while maintaining processing efficiency, in line with upcoming PFAS restrictions under EU PPWR regulations.
  • Halolite and Halofree flame-retardant solutions: Low-halogen and zero-halogen systems free from SVHC substances such as DBDPE and antimony trioxide, compliant with key safety and environmental standards.

Driving the Circular Economy

With this broad portfolio, Ampacet enables converters and brand owners to overcome the technical limitations of recycled materials, improve recyclability and meet stringent regulatory requirements.

By combining performance enhancement, recyclability optimization and regulatory compliance, Ampacet’s solutions help accelerate the adoption of circular plastics across a wide range of applications.
