Amcor adds lightweight Shadow roll-on for deo packaging

Amcor adds lightweight Shadow…

Amcor has extended its range of standard roll-ons with a new lightweight design for the beauty sector. The Shadow roll-on features a rounded base intended to enhance on-shelf presence and offers a wide choice of colors and a large labeling area to support brand differentiation. According to the company, the pack combines practicality and ease of use for consumers, while brand owners benefit from a lightweight yet durable construction designed to protect the product and prevent leakages. The launch targets beauty brands and retailers seeking additional options for deodorant packaging.

Amcor states that Shadow is one of the lightest roll-ons in its portfolio, reducing the amount of plastic required in manufacture. The bottle and cap can include up to 60% post-consumer recycled plastic. Material choices include a polyethylene bottle and a polypropylene closure. Both components are described as recycle-ready and can be recycled where the appropriate collection and processing infrastructure is available.

"Packaging solutions for the beauty sector must balance aesthetics, functionality and improved sustainability. The Shadow roll-on demonstrates our expertise in developing robust solutions that can be easily adapted in line with latest consumer trends," said Lara Alemany, product line director, Amcor Global Rigids Packaging Solutions.

"With our many manufacturing sites and ability to supply both large and small orders, we are ideally placed to support customers throughout Europe."

Amcor currently offers nearly 40 deodorant packaging solutions to meet varied requirements in the category, including a wide range of sticks and roll-ons from 10 ml to 100 ml.
