Elix Polymers, a manufacturer of engineering thermoplastics, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, in which it presents environmental, social and governance progress, as well as milestones related to the end of one strategic cycle and the start of the next phase of ESG activities. This year's edition of the document is particularly significant because it concludes the implementation of the 2020–2025 Action Plan and shows the extent to which sustainability has been integrated into the company's operations. During this period, the company developed its strategic approach, aligning its management with leading international frameworks and new European regulatory requirements, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, CSRD, and the TCFD framework. According to the company, the report also reflects the organisation's preparation for further goals related to decarbonisation, circularity and the implementation of ESG criteria throughout the value chain.

In the environmental section, Elix Polymers points to measurable results of its climate and resource efficiency activities. The key outcomes include a 45% reduction in product carbon footprint, a 15% reduction in water consumption compared with 2017, and the achievement of 97.3% efficiency in raw material use. The company emphasises that these results are linked to the continuous improvement of industrial processes. These activities are complemented by initiatives in energy efficiency, sustainable transport and pellet loss prevention, while maintaining Operation Clean Sweep certification.

In the social and organisational area, the company reports stronger efforts focused on employees. In 2025, it completed the full rollout of its Talent Management System and further developed an organisational approach based on shared responsibility and alignment with corporate objectives. According to the company, this process is supported by the Management by Missions model, aimed at building a shared organisational culture focused on commitment and contribution to a common purpose.

Elix Polymers CEO David Castañeda said: "This report reflects the collective effort of our organisation to move towards a more responsible and resilient business model. Behind every achievement lies the daily commitment of our teams, which has enabled us to close one phase with solid results and lay the foundations for a new roadmap focused on creating long-term sustainable value."

New action plan through 2028

As part of the next stage, Elix Polymers has developed and begun implementing a new action plan with a horizon through 2028, prepared as part of the update of its 2025–2030 Sustainability Strategy. The new roadmap includes measurable short-, medium- and long-term objectives. These are intended to accelerate decarbonisation, support the circularity of products and processes, and integrate ESG criteria throughout the value chain.

The company indicates that innovation will remain an important part of its further development. One example is the E-loop initiative, under which the company assumes that by 2030, 25% of its portfolio will include circular and bio-based solutions. According to Elix Polymers, this is intended to support the transition to more efficient and responsible production models and strengthen the company's position in the shift towards a low-carbon economy.

The 2025 Sustainability Report is available on the Elix Polymers website.
