Koch-Technik at the K 2019: Exceeded all expectations

Koch-Technik at the K 2019:…

At K 2019, the world´s leading trade fair for plastics processing in Düsseldorf, Koch-Technik presented its extensive product range to around 225,000 visitors from 165 countries for eight days. The exhibits of the peripheral specialist included tamper-proof visualisation systems, direct colouring devices for particularly high throughputs, gravimetric dosing systems with special vibration dampers, energy-saving dry-air dryers and fully automatic material control systems for safe and residue-free material distribution. As highlights, the Ispringen-based company presented its latest EKON dryer, which celebrated its world premiere, as well as the new mobile and flexible control units for volumetric dosing. Koch-Technik, specializing in peripherals, has combined the advantages of two successful CKT and EKO drying concepts in this dryer, thus creating a new drying unit. EKON is available in 8 various construction sizes ranging from 110 to 2,000 (m³/h).

“We are very satisfied with the course of the fair, our expectations were exceeded in any case. Despite the great challenges currently facing the plastics industry, we can draw a positive conclusion and look to the future with optimism.”, says director Carsten Koch.

K 2019 has once again shown that plastics will continue to be an indispensable material in the future. However, in the future we will have to deal with new challenges in terms of recyclable packing solutions and the associated new manufacturing technologies as well as the environmentally conscious use and application of plastic products. Carsten Koch agrees: “The explosive nature of the issues of reducing plastic waste, conserving resources and the recyclability of plastics is leading to a noticeable rethink in the industry.

At this year´s K fair, the circular economy naturally played the most important role and was the number one topic. The message that plastics processing must also function sustainably has definitely reached all those involved in the industry. We at KOCH-Technik also deal intensively with this topic. We offer efficient solutions especially for the recirculation and further processing of regrind or recyclate. Due to the many interesting contacts at the K trade fair, we were again able to take new impulses with us this year, so that we are well prepared for this turning point in plastics processing with our products.“
