Sumitomo (SHI) Demag is expanding its presence in the Turkish market by appointing Vincita Plastik Makinaları as its new local sales agent. The company, founded by Sergen Sarıdikmen and based in Istanbul, will provide sales and service support for injection moulding machines and related technologies. This step aligns with the manufacturer's expanding activity in a market characterised by a strong industrial base and growing demand for efficient and precise manufacturing solutions. The new partner is expected to support customers directly on site, both in machine selection and in technical service. The scope of the cooperation therefore includes not only sales activities, but also service support and access to infrastructure enabling machine presentations and mould trials.
Vincita has more than ten years of industry experience. The company focuses on injection moulding, extrusion and blow moulding machines, as well as auxiliary equipment and automation solutions. As Sergen Sarıdikmen, founder and managing director of the company, emphasises, "With our experienced team, nationwide service capabilities and strong technical infrastructure, we aim to become the preferred technology and solution partner for Turkish manufacturers." He also adds that "Partnering with Sumitomo (SHI) Demag allows us to offer advanced, high-performance solutions tailored to market needs." The company operates from a 4,000 m² facility in Istanbul-Tuzla. The site includes a showroom and testing facilities, allowing customers to experience the machines locally and carry out mould trials.
Importance of the Turkish market
The significance of this appointment for the manufacturer is also highlighted by Anatol Sattel, Chief Sales Officer at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. "Turkey is a strategically important market with a strong industrial base and growing demand for efficient and high-precision manufacturing solutions," he says. As he notes, "With Vincita, we have gained a capable partner who allows us to support our customers more directly and further expand our presence in the region." From the perspective of plastics processing machine users, this means access to local sales and technical support, as well as the possibility of conducting mould trials within the country, without the need to use distant demonstration centres.
