Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, and consistent with its focus on protecting the health and safety of employees and customers, DOMO Chemicals will not actively participate at Fakuma 2020, scheduled to take place in Friedrichshafen, Germany from 13-17 October 2020. DOMO will be present through an onsite contact desk at the event. Furthermore, the company will organise a digital event focusing on its expanded solutions portfolio and updated business strategy.
“DOMO very much regrets having to minimise our participation at Fakuma, as it is the world’s leading technical event for industrial plastics processing, and always serves as a great platform to present our products and services,” says Ludovic Tonnerre, Vice President Engineering Plastics at DOMO. “However, we believe that there is too much uncertainty around a possible second coronavirus wave. We cannot risk the health and well-being of our employees and customers. Furthermore, we do not believe that a satisfactory trade show experience can be guaranteed due to the very strict hygiene and safety measures that will need to be implemented at the event.”
As a customer-centric company, the DOMO sales and technical services teams will continue to operate in close connection with its customers. This includes the organization of dedicated face-to-face meetings, where all necessary safety measures can be guaranteed.
Furthermore, DOMO is organizing a digital event to present the company’s new complementary offering of PA6 and PA66 based engineering plastics. The event will offer further details on DOMO’s updated company strategy following the closure of the Solvay Engineering Plastics business in February 2020. Customers and partners will be updated on the timing of this event in the coming weeks.
