Coperion will present a broad spectrum of technologies for the manufacture, processing and recycling of plastics at PlastIndia 2026 in New Delhi, taking place from 5 to 10 February 2026. The company supplies individual components and complete systems from a single source for all three application areas. The focus is on efficient operation, high reliability, increased product quality and responsible use of resources throughout the process chain. With systems and lines engineered and supplied by Coperion, customers work with a single point of contact from concept development through engineering and commissioning to after-sales services, with key components combining the company’s production and process engineering know-how. Together with the brands Herbold Meckesheim and Coperion K-Tron, Coperion will exhibit representatives of this combined portfolio in Hall 6 at Booth H6-A6.
Compounding and recycling: twin screw extrusion and process integration
Coperion positions itself as a pioneer in the development of closely intermeshing co-rotating twin screw extruders and will exhibit a high-performance ZSK 58 Mc18 extruder with a 58 mm screw diameter at Booth H6-A6. The ZSK 58 Mc18 twin screw extruder features a specific torque of 18 Nm/cm³ and is designed for throughputs of up to 2,500 kg/h with low specific energy consumption. According to the company, ZSK extruders have been used for many years in plastics compounding and recycling applications that require high dispersion performance combined with gentle product handling in order to achieve consistently high product quality. The extruder design emphasizes robustness and reliability, with high machine availability and high Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). In addition to the ZSK series, Coperion’s portfolio in this segment also includes STS and CTE twin screw extruders for further application areas and throughput ranges.
The ZSK 58 Mc18 on display will be combined with a high-accuracy Coperion K-Tron K2-ML-D5-T35 twin screw feeder. This configuration is equipped with EPC (Electronic Pressure Compensation) and the ActiFlow bulk solid activator. The feeder design targets stable feeding accuracy under varying pressure conditions and improved flow of bulk solids that are prone to bridging, while supporting frequent material changes and cleanability requirements in compounding and recycling lines.
The high-accuracy Coperion K-Tron K2-ML-D5-T35 feeder is equipped with EPC (Electronic Pressure Compensation) and ActiFlow bulk solid activation, suitable for feeding applications requiring frequent material changes and easy cleanability.
An example of how the different technologies in the group are combined is a bottle-to-bottle recycling plant that Coperion is currently implementing for Indian preform and plastic packaging manufacturer Magpet Polymer Pvt Ltd. The PET recycling line is designed for a throughput of 5,500 kg/h and integrates Herbold Meckesheim technologies for mechanical processing with Coperion extrusion and compounding solutions. At Magpet, granulators and a washing line are already in operation, while installation of a ZSK twin screw extruder is in progress. In this configuration, mechanical preprocessing and wet cleaning are followed by melt filtration and compounding steps that are intended to deliver recyclate qualities suitable for renewed use in preforms and other packaging applications.
Conveying and feeding solutions from Coperion Ideal and Coperion K-Tron
In the area of bulk material handling, conveying and feeding, Coperion will highlight its activities in India through its subsidiary Coperion Ideal in Noida, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. This location reflects the company’s strategy of maintaining a presence close to markets and customers. Coperion Ideal focuses on technologies for bulk material handling, discharging and feeding additives, complemented by local capabilities in design, engineering and project management, as well as in-house fabrication and service for customers in India.
At PlastIndia, Coperion will present the WZK two-way diverter valve manufactured in India for the conveying of granulates and powders in pneumatic conveying systems. Also on display will be the high-pressure ZVH 250 rotary valve for granulate conveying applications and the FFU universal gate valve in a new compact design. These components are intended for use in conveying lines and distribution systems in compounding plants, recycling facilities and polymer production sites, where they are used for routing, dosing and isolating bulk materials.
As a representative of the company’s expertise in feeding, a Coperion K-Tron K3-V100 vibratory feeder will be exhibited. This unit is designed for high gravimetric accuracy, in particular when feeding demanding materials such as smaller recyclates or flakes into the extrusion process. Stable feeding of such bulk solids is a key factor for maintaining target formulations and process consistency in recycling compounding and the manufacture of recycled-content products.
Equipment and systems for polyolefin manufacturing
Beyond compounding and recycling, Coperion also realizes complete facilities for polyolefin manufacturing that, according to the company, have been in industrial operation for many years. Recent developments in this area have focused on reducing plant energy consumption, increasing performance, lowering investment costs and implementing process solutions such as rapid color changes from black to natural grade without the need to clean the entire system. Such process concepts are intended to improve flexibility in polyolefin production and to reduce changeover-related downtime.
At PlastIndia, Coperion will demonstrate its competence in engineering and delivering complete systems by means of an all-encompassing 3D simulation. Visitors to Booth H6-A6 in Hall 6 will be able to gain detailed insights into the functional interaction of individual components and overarching process steps in a polyolefin production facility, including material handling, feeding, extrusion, pelletizing and downstream handling.
Service offering focused on plant availability
Coperion aims to ensure high performance availability of its technologies throughout their entire life cycle, to reduce the risk of unplanned downtime and to maintain high process efficiency over the long term. The company operates a global network of specialized process and development engineers familiar with local operating conditions. These teams are responsible for servicing machines and production lines and for implementing technical measures at short notice when needed, including maintenance, optimization and modernization tasks. This service approach is intended to support operators of compounding, recycling and polyolefin plants in stabilizing production and in safeguarding product quality and output.
At PlastIndia, Coperion will present its expertise and new developments in mechanical processing, bulk material handling, conveying, feeding, compounding and after-sales services.
