Coperion will use PlastIndia 2026 in New Delhi, held from 5 to 10 February 2026, to present its technological and process expertise in the manufacture, processing and recycling of plastics. For all three fields of application, the company supplies both individual key components and complete systems from a single source. According to Coperion, the focus across these solutions is on efficient operation and high reliability, improved product quality and responsible use of resources. With Coperion systems, customers work with one point of contact and one supplier, from concept and engineering through commissioning to after-sales services. Each key component is designed to combine the company’s production know-how with its process engineering expertise. Together with the brands Herbold Meckesheim and Coperion K-Tron, Coperion will exhibit selected examples from this combined portfolio at PlastIndia in hall 6 at booth H6-A6.
Compounding and recycling with twin screw technology
Coperion describes itself as a pioneer in the development of the closely intermeshing, co-rotating twin screw extruder and will exhibit a ZSK 58 Mc¹⁸ extruder with a 58 mm screw diameter at booth H6-A6 in hall 6. The ZSK 58 Mc¹⁸ twin screw extruder has a specific torque of 18 Nm/cm³ and is designed for throughputs of up to 2,500 kg/h with comparatively low energy consumption.
According to the company, ZSK extruders have been used for many years in plastics compounding and recycling and are characterized by high dispersion performance and gentle product handling, contributing to high product quality. The extruder design is described as robust and reliable, with high machine availability and a high Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) value. In addition to the ZSK series, Coperion also offers the STS and CTE twin screw extruder ranges for compounding applications.
With its transparent process section, the ZSK Mc¹⁸ at booth H6-A6 in hall 6 provides visual insights into a twin screw extruder’s mixing and dispersion behaviour.
The ZSK 58 Mc¹⁸ on display will be combined with a high-accuracy Coperion K-Tron K2-ML-D5-T35 twin screw feeder. This feeder configuration is equipped with Electronic Pressure Compensation (EPC) and the ActiFlow bulk solid activator. The setup is aimed at applications that require precise feeding performance, frequent material changes and easy access for cleaning.
The high-accuracy Coperion K-Tron K2-ML-D5-T35 feeder is equipped with EPC and ActiFlow bulk solid activation for feeding tasks with frequent material changes and easy cleanability.
A current industrial reference highlights the interaction between different technologies within the group. In a bottle-to-bottle recycling plant that Coperion is implementing for Indian preform and plastic packaging manufacturer Magpet Polymer Pvt Ltd., the company is integrating Herbold Meckesheim mechanical processing equipment with Coperion extrusion and compounding solutions. The PET recycling line is designed for a throughput of 5,500 kg/h. According to the information provided, granulators and a washing line are already in operation, while a ZSK twin screw extruder is currently being installed at the Magpet site.
Systems and components for polyolefin production
In addition to compounding and recycling lines, Coperion engineers complete plants for polyolefin manufacturing that are described as established in the market for their operational reliability. Recent development work has focused on reducing energy consumption, increasing plant performance and lowering investment costs. The company is also working on process solutions that enable, for example, quick colour changes from black to natural grades without cleaning the entire system.
At PlastIndia, Coperion will illustrate its competence in turnkey systems for polyolefins and other applications using a comprehensive 3D simulation. Visitors to booth H6-A6 in hall 6 will be able to gain detailed insights into the function of complete facilities as well as into specific components and subsystems for bulk material handling, conveying, feeding and compounding.
At PlastIndia, Coperion, together with Herbold Meckesheim and Coperion K-Tron, will present solutions for mechanical processing, bulk material handling, conveying, feeding, compounding and after-sales services.
Service concept for high plant availability
Coperion states that it aims to maintain high performance availability of its technologies over their entire life cycle, reduce the risk of unplanned downtime and stabilise process efficiency. To support this, the company relies on a global network of process and development engineers who are familiar with local conditions in their respective regions. These specialists service machines and lines in the field and are positioned to implement measures at short notice, for example in the event of process disturbances or for optimisation tasks.
