Poly-clip System at Interpack 2026: less packaging, higher efficiency

Poly-clip System at Interpack…

Poly-clip System will participate in Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf as a provider of flexible, efficient and scalable packaging solutions for a wide range of industries. The company intends to demonstrate how its clip technologies can be used in different market segments, from meat and sausage products through dairy products, pet food and convenience foods to fruit and vegetables and industrial applications such as adhesives and sealants. Particular emphasis is placed on cross-industry expertise and sustainability aspects throughout the packaging value chain.

Less packaging, more responsibility

The motto of Poly-clip System's presence at Interpack 2026 is "The packaging company with less packaging". The focus is on the efficiency of clip packaging compared to traditional formats such as cans, thermoformed trays or cartridges. The use of clip solutions enables a significant reduction in the amount of packaging material, in many cases down to only 1–2% of the total product weight. Depending on the application, this is accompanied by the potential to reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 90%.

The figures are based on an independent sustainability assessment carried out by the Circular Analytics Institute in Vienna for production and waste management conditions in Germany. The results show that clip packaging combines product protection, process efficiency and recyclability with a clearly reduced environmental footprint. Dr Alexander Giehl, CEO of Poly-clip System, emphasizes: "For us, sustainability is not an added benefit but part of the system concept. Our solutions intervene in processes: they save material, reduce weight, optimize logistics and thus make a measurable contribution to CO₂ reduction along the entire value chain."

Industry diversity as a strategic element

At Interpack, Poly-clip System will present specific applications of clip packaging for meat and sausage products, dairy products such as processed cheese, cream cheese and herb butters, ready meals, fruit and vegetables, pet food, and sealants and adhesives for industry and trade. Clip solutions are already widely used in many areas of meat and sausage production, while still offering untapped potential in other food segments and in non-food applications.

Compared with traditional packaging formats such as cans, thermoformed packaging or tubes, clip systems enable a substantial reduction in packaging material consumption and related CO₂ emissions. This translates into significant savings in unit packaging weight, resource use and transport costs. Dr Alexander Giehl notes: "We do not think in terms of individual product categories but in terms of applications and efficiency potential. Interpack is the ideal platform for us to showcase this versatility."

Scalable machine solutions for companies of different sizes

A key element of Poly-clip System's presentation at Interpack 2026 will be scalable machine solutions designed to support companies of different profiles and sizes in developing their operations. The portfolio includes more than 60 machine models covering the full spectrum in terms of investment level and degree of automation. This is intended to enable configuration selection for small plants, medium-sized enterprises and large industrial producers, while maintaining comparable standards of quality and process safety.

Visitors will be able to see machines representing different performance classes. The solutions on show will include the compact new SCH 600 model for smaller plants, the flexible PDC-A 700 and the highly automated, innovative FCA 160 XL, designed for efficient processing of large production volumes in two- and four-clip mode. This product range is intended to demonstrate how customers can gradually increase the level of automation of their lines without compromising on efficiency, product quality or packaging process reliability.

Technology supporting process optimisation

Alongside sustainability aspects, the integration of packaging solutions into production and logistics processes is also of key importance. Clip packaging enables high cycle rates, a high degree of automation and more compact storage and transport logistics. The lower weight of the packaging leads to reduced transport costs and better utilisation of storage space, which becomes particularly relevant in international markets with strong cost pressure.

The presentation at Interpack 2026 is also intended to highlight the evolution of Poly-clip System from a specialised supplier of individual packaging solutions into a flexible partner for many industrial sectors, focusing its technologies on efficient and resource-saving operation. Mesut Akbulut, CSO of Poly-clip System, summarises: "We want to use our technologies across industries, efficiently, with respect for resources and with a noticeable impact. This is our understanding of future-oriented packaging."

Poly-clip System will be present at Interpack in Düsseldorf from 7 to 13 May 2026 in Hall 11, Booth E19.
