Celab Europe will participate in Labelexpo Europe 2025, held in Barcelona from 16 to 19 September 2025, with a focus on practical solutions for the collection and recycling of release liner and matrix waste generated in self-adhesive label production. As an initiative active within the European label community, Celab Europe is working to accelerate a circular economy for label materials by facilitating access to established recovery routes and promoting industry collaboration.
The initiative connects printers and converters with certified recyclers across Europe, enabling companies to divert waste from landfill, reduce their environmental footprint, and align with increasingly stringent waste management regulations. “Our mission is to make label waste recycling accessible, scalable and economically viable for the entire value chain,” said Marius Tent from ViaPackaging UG, Celab Europe’s project management partner. “Labelexpo is an ideal opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals and demonstrate what’s possible.”
During the show, Celab Europe will be hosted on the Finat stand, 4E49. Visitors will be able to review regional recycling options, examine documented success stories, and consult with experts on steps to improve their own sustainability performance. The presence aims to provide clear, actionable guidance for companies looking to integrate organized collection and recycling of release liners and matrix waste into their operations.
Program contributions during the event
In addition to activities on the show floor, Marius Tent will contribute to the Awa Label Release Liner Seminar as well as to the Labelexpo feature area The Pulse. His sessions will address topics including infrastructure needs for scalable collection and recycling, regulatory developments affecting waste management in the label sector, and current best practices identified across the value chain.
