Barmag will present itself jointly with its new owner, Rieter, for the first time at ITM 2026 in Istanbul. Both brands will be present from 9 to 13 June at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Hall 7 at booth 702B. As a technology supplier to the manmade fiber industry, Barmag will show its complete portfolio of systems for filament yarn, staple fiber and nonwoven production, as well as solutions for the networked factory. Neumag will focus on the enhanced EvoSteam process and new solutions for BCF yarn production, while atmos.io will serve as the shared digital platform for intelligent yarn manufacturing.
New POY 2.0 concept in filament spinning
The new POY 2.0 concept was first presented to a selected group of experts at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore. The key element of the solution is the semi-automated WINGS POY 2.0 winder, which for the first time introduces a fully automatic yarn string-up function in this segment. The solution is intended to keep string-up times consistently short while reducing process waste.
The use of automatic yarn string-up also reduces staffing needs at the winding level, which is a significant advantage for many spinning mills facing a growing shortage of skilled operators. According to the manufacturer, numerous additional functions of the overall POY 2.0 concept enable optimization of energy and material consumption, reduction of waste and improvement of yarn quality.

Manual eFK EvoSmart texturing unit and energy efficiency
The manual eFK EvoSmart texturing machine from Barmag has been designed for energy-efficient yarn production while maintaining high product quality. The solution focuses on reducing energy consumption and operating costs without compromising process stability.
The machine incorporates components such as EvoHeater and Smart Godets which, combined with energy-optimized process control, enable a significant reduction in specific energy consumption. The stated saving potential is up to 25 percent per kilogram of yarn. Additional design features reduce service needs, which can translate into a decrease in maintenance effort by up to 50 percent.
Neumag EvoSteam process with new EvoDuct and EvE-2 modules
Neumag is developing the EvoSteam process, combining energy savings with improved fiber quality. The current system configuration is supplemented by two new elements, EvoDuct and EvE-2. EvoDuct optimizes airflow distribution in the air jet, resulting in lower pressure drop, reduced energy consumption and more uniform airflow. These factors have a positive effect on fiber quality and uniformity.
The EvE-2 module improves monomer and hot air extraction from the system. Specially designed extraction nozzles limit air turbulence and improve the uniformity of cooling in the air jet. The monomer extraction system is accessible from the outside, which facilitates maintenance work and enables a significant increase in spinning performance.
The Neumag EvoSteam process delivers not only significant energy savings but also improved fiber quality.
An integral part of this concept is also the wiping robot, already used in a similar configuration in Barmag filament spinning mills. The use of the robot enables consistent high wiping quality, longer intervals between cleaning operations, reduced labor costs and lower consumption of consumables. In addition, cleaning cycles can be synchronized with can changes and splice management.
New solutions for BCF yarns
In the field of BCF yarn production, Neumag is introducing BICO BCF technology, which enables the manufacture of a new type of carpet yarn. According to the manufacturer, this solution allows higher carpet bulk and improved recovery properties while reducing pile yarn consumption by around 20 percent compared with previous solutions, without lowering the quality associated with the Neumag brand. The result is lighter carpets with the high performance characteristics of Neumag yarns.
Also new in the portfolio is the FiberGuard BCF system, which combines sensors and software to measure yarn tension between twisting and winding in real time. The software automatically reacts to deviations in parameters and independently adjusts the process settings. The aim is to reduce waste, increase process efficiency and improve its environmental performance. FiberGuard is compatible with all current BCF machines and can be easily retrofitted into existing BCF S8 lines.
Atmos.io digital platform for the networked factory
The atmos.io system acts as the operating system for intelligent yarn production. Every machine, from pilot installations to large-scale production lines with hundreds of positions, is equipped with this digital core, which is intended to form the basis for the networked factory concept. In the integrated app store, yarn manufacturers can select modules that match their actual requirements.
atmos.io provides data as the basis for decision-making in an objective, quality-focused way. The system digitizes the entire material flow so that each bobbin is identified and linked with a complete data set from the polymer melt stage through to the warehouse. This enables intervention in the production process at any time, in principle faster, more precisely and with more predictable outcomes.
According to the manufacturer, the main benefits include reduced waste, improved yarn quality and lower workloads for shop floor employees. The system can be integrated with existing production lines and IT infrastructure. The data architecture is designed to meet high cyber security requirements while providing consistent and reliable data for safe and efficient process control.
