Asúa Products, S.A. (Asúa) has joined Global Polymer Solutions S.L. (the Group). According to the information provided, the integration is intended to strengthen the Group’s technical capabilities in PVC additives and stabilisers and to support further growth in international markets.
Asúa was founded in 1954 and is headquartered in Bilbao, Spain. The company manufactures customer-tailored one-pack blends based on calcium-zinc heat stabilisers and other additives for PVC applications. The company has a presence in Europe and the Americas. Asúa operates a manufacturing facility located near Bilbao and employs approximately 90 people.
According to the announcement, joining the Group means that Asúa contributes capabilities in the design and production of customised heat-stabilising systems, formulation resources and application know-how, as well as long-standing relationships with customers, particularly in the pipes and fittings as well as wire and cable segments. It was also emphasised that the complementary product portfolio is expected to strengthen the Group’s positioning as a European one-stop solutions provider for the thermoplastics industry, alongside Delta Tecnic, Ultrabatch, Masterbatch, Eurocolor and Polytechs.
Ignacio Trueba, CEO of Asúa, who joined the company in 1999, is expected to remain in his role and continue to lead the company’s development.
