Arburg has announced its participation in Vietnamplas 2026, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from 9 to 12 September. At stand 219 in Hall B, the manufacturer will present its new range of Allrounder Trend electric standard machines in Vietnam for the first time. The exhibit will include an Allrounder 1800 e Trend, which will produce nozzles for silicone tubes during the demonstration. According to the company, Vietnam is a rapidly growing plastics market in the ASEAN region and is gaining importance as a manufacturing location for electronics, medical products, packaging and consumer goods. David Chan, Managing Director of Arburg in the ASEAN region, emphasises: "Vietnam is a rapidly growing plastics market in the ASEAN region and is becoming increasingly attractive for the manufacture of electronics, medical devices, packaging and consumer goods. With our new electric Allrounder Trend machines, we are very well positioned in the standard segment. In addition, we are presenting our comprehensive range of digital products and services."
The Allrounder Trend series is intended for standard applications across various industries and, according to the manufacturer, is to be available worldwide at short notice. The machines are designed to enable quick set-up, intuitive operation and easy maintenance. Arburg also points to the high energy efficiency and low investment and operating costs of these units. This is complemented by Arburg quality standards and globally standardised service. The new machines are offered in four sizes, with clamping forces ranging from 500 to 2,000 kN. All Trend models are equipped with the new Gestica lite control system, featuring an intuitive user interface and a clearly arranged dashboard. At Vietnamplas 2026, the company will display an Allrounder 1800 e Trend with a 16-cavity mould, processing the durable thermoplastic HDPE into nozzles for silicone tubes. In one cycle lasting around 9.5 seconds, 16 parts are produced and free-fall from the mould.
Arburg's presence in Vietnam
Arburg has had its own subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City since 2023, which allows the company to support customers directly in this important market. As stated, this enables the company to provide fast, reliable and comprehensive specialist support on site, in line with the brand promise: "We are there."
The company presents itself as a partner delivering solutions tailored to customer needs that go beyond machine technology alone. These include automation, peripheral equipment, as well as broad pre-sales and after-sales support. Digitalisation is also becoming increasingly important. Trade fair visitors will be able to review digital functions and new developments, such as the company's MES system, ALS, and the arburgXworld customer portal. Experts are to explain how smart, efficient and sustainable plastics parts production can be achieved, with benefits including a reduced total cost of ownership and improved part quality.
The new Allrounder Trend electric standard machines are specifically designed to meet current market needs: they are available at short notice, can be set up quickly, are particularly easy to operate and maintain, and are characterised by low investment requirements
