The Austrian Wittmann Group is restructuring its management. The business divisions, including injection molding machines, Wittmann Battenfeld GmbH based in Kottingbrunn, and automation and auxiliary equipment, Wittmann Technology GmbH based in Vienna, will be consolidated under dual leadership effective May 1, 2026. This role will be assumed by the two owners, Michael Wittmann and Dr. Werner Wittmann. Rainer Weingraber will leave the group of companies at the end of April.
Commenting on the changes, Michael Wittmann pointed to the continuation of the direction adopted in recent years: "With this new structure, we are consistently implementing the "It’s all Wittmann" strategy, launched in 2022, all the way up to the executive management level". He also added: "Our high level of expertise in providing comprehensive solutions from a single source is a strong competitive advantage that we will expand even more intensively worldwide through this consolidation."
Rainer Weingraber joined the group in 2019 as CEO of Wittmann Battenfeld GmbH. Michael Wittmann emphasized his role in recent years: "Mr. Weingraber has steered the injection molding machine division through a challenging period and played a key role in driving the integration of all business units." On behalf of the group, he added: "We thank Mr. Weingraber for his dedication and achievements over the past seven years and wish him all the best for the future."
Scope of the offering for injection molding processing
Wittmann Group reports that it offers components for injection molding processing developed and manufactured in-house, from material handling systems, through injection molding machines, processing technologies and temperature control equipment, to inline recycling, as well as automation and digitalization solutions for injection molding processes. According to the company, whether purchasing individual units or integrated production cells, users are to benefit from the process know-how of the global Wittmann team, covering the entire processing chain.
