Tosca received the EcoVadis Gold rating for 2026 and was placed among the top 5 percent of companies assessed worldwide. The company says this result reflects a broader shift taking place in supply chains, where sustainability declarations are increasingly being replaced by the requirement to demonstrate specific, measurable results. According to the company, this is particularly important in Europe, where environmental targets and ESG commitments have been embedded in corporate strategies for years, while regulatory pressure is increasing in parallel in relation to waste reduction, traceability and lifecycle performance. At the same time, companies across the value chain expect greater transparency, operational continuity and clear business outcomes. In practice, this means the need to reduce environmental impact while improving efficiency, controlling costs and strengthening operations.
Laurent Le Mercier, Tosca's EMEA President, points out that in Europe sustainability is moving from ambition to operational practice. As he emphasises, customers increasingly expect clear evidence of performance in the areas of efficiency, compliance, waste reduction and supply chain resilience. In this context, the single-use packaging model is coming under pressure, as it requires a constant flow of new materials and generates waste in every cycle of use. As a recognised benchmark, EcoVadis evaluates companies in four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Tosca states that in the 2026 assessment it improved its scores across all categories compared with 2025. In the company's view, the Gold rating shows that its global reusable plastic packaging and pooling solutions are turning environmental commitments into measurable operational performance.
