Registration for AMI Compounding & Recycling Expo 2026 now open

Registration for AMI Compounding…

The organiser AMI has launched free online registration for the Compounding & Recycling Expo, which will take place on 23–24 September 2026 at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre in Germany. The event is intended to present the growing links between polymer compounding and recycling and to bring together participants from across the value chain for two days dedicated to technical solutions, industry cooperation and knowledge exchange. The organisers emphasise that the event is aimed at professionals interested both in improving the properties of polymer materials and in increasing the level of their reuse and the circularity of material flows.

Scope and format of the trade fair

The Compounding & Recycling Expo is set to focus on the intersection of plastics compounding and recycling, which are increasingly converging in industrial practice. The exhibition will feature solutions from suppliers of compounding machinery, raw materials, additives, recycling technologies, as well as control, measurement and testing equipment. AMI states that the aim of the event is to showcase the latest developments in efficient processing, modification of polymer properties and the integration of recyclates in existing and new applications.

Participants will also gain free access to two dedicated conference theatres. The programme will include expert presentations on market trends, technology development, innovative applications and the evolving regulatory framework in Europe. The sessions are expected to cover topics such as requirements for secondary raw materials, implementation of circular economy principles and the impact of legislation on the activities of companies from the plastics, recycling and waste management sectors.

Exhibitors and participant profile

AMI reports that the exhibitor list already includes companies such as Wacker, BASF, Sun Chemical, SI Group, JSW, Hosokawa Alpine, Farrel Pomini, Van Werven, Maag, Invista, Orion, Gneuss, Theysohn and other suppliers of technologies and materials for the industry. According to the organisers, the trade fair is intended to enable direct contact with manufacturers of compounding and recycling machinery, producers of polymer raw materials and additives, as well as providers of solutions for material preparation and testing.

The Compounding & Recycling Expo Europe is designed as an event for decision makers active in plastics compounding, mechanical recycling, waste management and processing. The organisers also expect the participation of sustainability and materials specialists from end-use markets such as packaging, automotive, construction, electronics and other sectors using plastics and recyclates.

The growing integration of compounding and recycling is highlighted in the announcement by Andy Beevers, Events Director at AMI. He states: "We recognise that the futures of compounding and recycling are closely interconnected. Our team has worked closely with the industry to understand its evolving needs, and this expo is the result; the only platform in Europe that truly reflects the importance of this shared direction. We have created a unique opportunity for the entire supply chain to come together, collaborate, and drive the next generation of materials forward."

Frankfurt as the event location

Frankfurt has been selected as the venue due to its position at the centre of the European industrial economy and its well-developed transport infrastructure. Germany is the largest plastics market in Europe and at the same time one of the key hubs for the development of materials science and recycling technologies. According to AMI, the location at Messe Frankfurt is expected to support the participation of an international audience, including compounders, masterbatch and additive producers, recyclers, waste management operators, processors and manufacturers of finished products.

Registration and exhibitor offer

Visitors can register free of charge via the official exhibition website

Online registration is intended to facilitate planning of participation in the event, including access to the conference programme and the exhibitor list.

AMI also reports that the available exhibition space is limited. Companies interested in presenting their offer as exhibitors can submit enquiries via the official application form available here.

The organiser emphasises that the event is expected to bring together participants representing all links of the value chain, from suppliers of raw materials and technologies to end users of materials and finished products.
