Borouge International has announced the appointment of Patrick Jany as chief financial officer. He is set to assume the role on May 1, 2026. The company stated that the new CFO brings more than three decades of international finance leadership experience in industrial, logistics, and chemical businesses. According to the announcement, he has served for 20 years as CFO in publicly listed companies, with expertise covering capital management and corporate finance. In his new role, he will join the management team and participate in the further development of Borouge International as a global industrial company with significant scale, broad reach, and financial discipline, supporting its long-term growth objectives.
Until Patrick Jany takes office, Daniel Turnheim will continue to serve as interim chief financial officer. The appointment forms part of the company's organisational measures related to shaping the management team and further structuring the finance function.

Experience in finance, logistics and specialty chemicals
Most recently, Patrick Jany served as executive vice president and CFO of A.P. Moller-Maersk. He joined the company's executive board in 2020 and, according to the announcement, played a central role in strengthening financial discipline, portfolio management, and value creation during a period of major strategic transformation.
Earlier, he spent 25 years with Clariant AG, a company active in specialty chemicals. During that period, he held a range of senior positions in finance, general management, and corporate development across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His career at Clariant culminated in his appointment as group CFO.
At an earlier stage of his career, Patrick Jany also held finance leadership roles at Sandoz AG. He holds an MBA from ESCP Business School.
