Meusburger has presented its range of ejectors for injection molds and die-casting molds, emphasizing the breadth of the portfolio, stock availability of standard components, and digital support in the selection and ordering process. As the company points out, ejector pins are among the most heavily loaded elements of tooling, which is why their design and finish have a direct impact on process stability, service life, and the quality of manufactured parts. The range includes straight, sleeve and flat ejector pins, as well as core pins. The manufacturer states that maintaining stock of standard components is intended to shorten delivery times, increase supply security, and reduce production downtime. From the user perspective, range standardization is also important, as it is intended to facilitate design, purchasing, and tool manufacturing while maintaining consistent product quality through qualified suppliers and quality control processes.
The presented solution also gives an important role to the configurator, which is used for the rapid selection of the appropriate standard ejector pin type and for matching its parameters to application requirements. Once the configuration is completed, the user immediately receives pricing, lead time, and CAD data. The company states that it is possible to prepare a ready-to-install product cut to size with a length tolerance of 0/+0.02 mm. The system also enables the configuration of non-standard ejector pins, automatically identifies standard items, and checks whether they can be used as a basis for a cut-to-size version. Solutions for different tooling requirements
Meusburger also points to selected ejector pin variants intended for specific applications in tool manufacturing. One of them is ejector pins with a DLC coating, which is designed to reduce friction and limit wear. In practice, this is intended to result in longer component life, higher process reliability, and protection of sensitive part surfaces, especially in applications with high requirements for abrasion resistance and surface quality, as well as in clean room production.
Another group includes ejector pins and core pins with anti-rotation protection. This type of integrated solution is intended to ensure durable and precise positioning in the injection mold, reduce burr formation, and support consistent molded part quality. According to the manufacturer, the solution is also intended to simplify tool design and manufacturing.
The range also includes venting ejector pins, available in various diameters and lengths, including versions with DLC coating. These components enable venting of the molding cavity directly through the ejector pin. Thanks to vent holes arranged along almost the entire length of the shank, they can be shortened to length, which according to the company is particularly useful for retrofitting existing injection molds.
The portfolio also includes flat ejector pins in various widths, thicknesses, and lengths, including versions with an extended tip intended for large ejection strokes. Versions with two or four corner radii are available, and all dimensions are also offered in a DLC-coated variant.
