Hennecke PUR Solutions has announced that it will present continuous PUR slabstock foam production lines at the Feiplar + Feipur trade fair in São Paulo. The event is one of the key meeting points for the polyurethane industry in Latin America and brings together manufacturers, processors and raw material suppliers from across the region. At booth G50, the company, together with Fecken-Kirfel, an Aachen-based specialist in cutting equipment, will present solutions covering the entire slabstock foam production value chain. As Lars Baumann, Sales Manager Slabstock at Hennecke PUR Solutions, states, "With Jflex Evo and Smartflex Evo, we offer two systems specifically designed to meet the needs of comfort foam producers in Latin America. Both technologies combine high product quality with efficient raw material utilization and provide economically attractive solutions for different production capacities and investment budgets." The company also emphasizes both the performance parameters of the new installations and the possibility of modernizing lines already in operation.
Smartflex Evo for higher production volumes
The Smartflex Evo model is positioned between the compact Jflex Evo and the high-capacity Multiflex system. The solution is intended as an option for manufacturers planning to move to higher production volumes. According to the manufacturer, its space-saving modular design and high degree of standardization help reduce investment costs without compromising process reliability or product quality. Eliminating the need for a conventional portal reduces the required installation height, which is intended to facilitate system integration, especially in facilities with limited ceiling height.
Smartflex Evo is designed to provide flexibility in processing a wide range of polyols, isocyanates and additives. Precise material metering is handled by Smartjector injection units, while the standard Flat-top system makes it possible to obtain an almost rectangular block shape, reducing trim waste. Process control is carried out through the Foamware Slabstock platform, used for process monitoring, remote service and production data management. The system can also be equipped with Novaflex technology, enabling the use of modern physical blowing agents. The manufacturer also highlights the advantage of high-pressure metering technology, which, compared with conventional low-pressure systems, can reduce isocyanate consumption by up to 4%.
Jflex Evo for compact continuous production
With the Jflex Evo system, Hennecke is presenting the latest generation of its compact slabstock foam production installation. The listed improvements include continuously adjustable foam widths from 1,550 to 2,300 mm, optimized rise plate geometry and the standard Flat-top system. Stepless width adjustment is intended to reduce changeover times and side trim waste.
This system also uses Smartjector technology, which according to the manufacturer is intended to ensure high process reliability. The installation is 12 m long and 4.5 m wide, which translates into a required floor space of approximately 54 sq m. For this reason, the solution is aimed particularly at manufacturers with limited production space or lower output requirements.
360°Retrofit program for existing lines
In addition to its new machinery portfolio, Hennecke PUR Solutions will also showcase the 360°Retrofit program. It covers targeted modernization measures for existing slabstock foam production systems. According to the company, such modifications can increase operational efficiency while extending equipment service life. At booth G50, Hennecke PUR Solutions experts will advise on customized machinery concepts and retrofit solutions for slabstock foam production.
