On 9 and 16 July 2026, open days dedicated to the presentation of the electric Allrounder Trend series were held at two German Arburg Technology Centers in Radevormwald and Rednitzhembach. A total of around 180 customers attended the events. The programme included live machine demonstrations and specialist presentations aimed at showing the efficiency and range of applications of the new standard injection moulding machines. As Johannes Herbst, Director of the Arburg Technology Centers in Radevormwald and Rednitzhembach, emphasised, interest in the Trend series was also clearly visible in direct discussions with visitors. "For us, it was very valuable to see how strong the interest is in the Trend standard machines. In numerous face-to-face discussions, customers confirmed that the electric Allrounder Trend precisely meet their requirements in terms of cost-effectiveness and Arburg quality." Among the features that were particularly well received were the Gestica lite control system with its clearly arranged dashboard, the simplified design of the standard machines with compact guards for automation, as well as the drive system from AMKmotion. Water-cooled drives for the injection unit and the enlarged mould mounting space were also positively received.
Demonstrations in Radevormwald and Rednitzhembach
The meetings were aimed primarily at customers from western, northern and eastern Germany, who were able to examine the new standard machines directly. At the Radevormwald site, an automated Allrounder 1800 e Trend with a compact guard produced a 200 ml cup made of polycarbonate. The part was removed from the mould by a Multilift Select 8 linear robotic system and placed on a conveyor belt.
At the events held at the German Technology Centers in Radevormwald, pictured, and Rednitzhembach, guests showed great interest in the new Allrounder Trend electric standard machines.
At the Rednitzhembach Technology Center, an Allrounder 500 e Trend equipped with a Multilift Select 4 system was presented as an example of technical injection moulding. At this station, electronic covers made of ABS were produced. During a series of specialist presentations, participants were also able to obtain detailed information about the Allrounder Trend series and the new Gestica lite control system, including the available smart assistance functions.
Machine characteristics and scope of the offer
According to Arburg, the new electric Allrounder Trend machines were designed to meet the requirements of production in the standard segment. The manufacturer points to short delivery times, fast commissioning, intuitive operation and ease of maintenance. At the same time, it highlights high energy efficiency and low costs for both investment and day-to-day operation. This offering is complemented by Arburg quality standards and globally standardised service.
The events also provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions with experts from the technology centers and the sales team, as well as with other guests. As Johannes Herbst noted, the range of services offered by both German Arburg centers also attracted interest. "The broad range of services offered by our two Arburg Technology Centers also attracted great interest. The development of the Radevormwald and Rednitzhembach locations through their significant expansion over the past two years was also viewed very positively."
During a series of specialist presentations, customers were able to learn first-hand everything they needed to know about the Allrounder Trend and the Gestica lite control system.
Digitalisation as one of the main topics
Digitalisation was also one of the important topics addressed during the open days. Arburg presented its digital solutions, including its own control systems, the in-house developed ALS MES, the arburgXworld customer portal and features supported by artificial intelligence. According to the company, this area received a very positive response from participants.
Summing up the events, Johannes Herbst pointed to the technical level of the discussions and the interest in supplementary solutions. "The high level of expertise among the participants, the in-depth technical discussions regarding the capabilities of our Trend machines, and the strong interest in the Multilift robotic systems and assistance functions were noteworthy. We discussed many specific applications and received direct enquiries about the Allrounder Trend. The open days were very valuable for both sides and clearly showed that Arburg is a reliable and highly innovative partner that places great importance on long-term cooperation and close customer relationships."
