The Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. adopted a resolution during its meeting to appoint Jacek Podgórski to the company's management board as vice president of the 13th term, effective 5 May 2026. The decision expands the current composition of the company's governing body. The company also provided information on the professional experience of the newly appointed manager, covering both financial institutions and manufacturing companies. In his career to date, Jacek Podgórski has participated in complex restructuring processes carried out in both organisational and financial areas. He was also responsible for securing equity and debt financing sources and for building multifunctional project teams focused on clearly defined objectives.
Between 1994 and 2004, he worked in the banking sector, where he was responsible, among other things, for the syndicated loan portfolio of Bank Pekao SA. In the period from 2006 to 2018, he was associated with Grupa Orlen SA. During that time, he served as president of the management board of Anwil S.A. from 2014 to 2018 and as vice president for finance in Basell Orlen Polyolefins Sp. z o.o. from 2007 to 2014 and Orlen Asfalt Sp. z o.o. from 2006 to 2007. In addition, he served as president of the management board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa Sp. z o.o. from 2024 to 2025 and Elektrobudowa S.A. from 2019 to 2020. From 2018 to 2025, he was an independent member of the supervisory boards of Elektrobudowa S.A., Sanok Rubber S.A., Inter Cars S.A. and Decora S.A. He graduated with a master's degree from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Łódź and completed postgraduate studies in management at the University of Warsaw.
