Husky presents packaging, hot runner and medical at K Show 2025

Husky presents packaging…

Husky Technologies is showcasing its latest injection molding systems and components at KShow 2025 in Düsseldorf, Hall 13, Booth A61. The company is focusing on solutions for packaging, hot runner applications and medical molding, with an emphasis on achieving sustainability and performance without compromise. Highlights include a next-generation digital packaging molding platform, a live HyperSync system producing lightweight thinwall dairy cups from recycled polypropylene with in-mold labeling, the Hylectric 6 platform, and new multi-material capabilities enabled by Altanium MultiShot technology. Husky is also introducing updates to hot runner systems and a redesigned Altanium controller platform.

“Husky’s return to KShow represents more than a product launch, it’s a defining moment in our journey to reshape the future of manufacturing,” said Bradley Selleck, Husky’s CEO. “The technologies we’re unveiling are the result of relentless innovation, deep collaboration, and a belief that sustainability and performance, quality and security are not opposing forces, but powerful allies.”

The company underscores its digital approach with Advantage+Elite remote monitoring now offered with the new packaging platform. By tracking more than 70 packaging performance parameters in real time, the service provides proactive insights intended to maximize efficiency, reliability and overall performance management. The exhibit also features integrated robotics and auxiliaries, and expands capabilities in high-volume production through enhanced hot runners and intelligent control.

Next-generation packaging molding platform

Husky is unveiling a complete digital platform for high-performance packaging molding. The platform combines a new system design and architecture with fully integrated hot runner and mold controller technologies, complemented by the Advantage+Elite 24/7 remote monitoring service. The service tracks over 70 new packaging performance parameters in real time to support predictive, data-driven operation.

Running daily during the show, a high-performance HyperSync system produces a lightweight thinwall dairy cup in recycled polypropylene with in-mold labeling at a 3.8 second cycle time. The cell incorporates an integrated melt delivery system, robot and auxiliaries, including an 8-cavity mold and side-entry robot from Muller, a Husky Ultra Helix hot runner, a Husky Delta5 Mold Controller with DataWave 2.0 technology, and PET Solutions upstream auxiliaries.

Also introduced is the next generation Hylectric 6 platform, featuring increased energy efficiency, an enhanced user experience, reduced non-process time, and optimized feed screws to boost throughput and recovery. The system is connected to Advantage+Elite for actionable remote monitoring insights.

“This launch is more than an upgrade, it’s a bold step into the future of high-performance injection molding,” said Robert Domodossola, Husky’s President of Systems and Tooling. “It reflects decades of engineering brought together in a unified ecosystem that is digital, integrated and designed to support a more sustainable industry.”

Multi-material molding with Altanium MultiShot

Debuting at KShow, Altanium MultiShot combines advanced secondary injection units with rotary platen technology to convert conventional single-barrel machines into multi-material production cells. The fully integrated solution is designed to increase manufacturing flexibility, throughput and performance for multi-material and multi-component applications, while maintaining precision and efficiency. The approach is intended to be scalable and aligned with evolving market needs and sustainable production goals.

Hot runners and controller platform updates

Husky is presenting the Ultra Helix 2.0 Valve Gate system for robustness and cycle consistency that supports uptime and productivity in high-volume environments. The next generation Ultra SideGate 2.0 now supports up to 8-tip configurations in a compact mold layout to enable repeatable performance across millions of cycles.

The company is also launching the redesigned Altanium controller platform, including Neo6, Delta6 and Matrix6. These controllers are configured to deliver faster startups, enhanced resin protection and optimized energy use, aiming to improve precision and profitability in demanding applications.

Medical applications

In medical molding, Husky’s solutions support production of pre-filled syringes, pen injectors, auto-injectors, pipette tips and petri dishes. Through integration with Schöttli’s proprietary gating technologies, the company extends capabilities in parenteral, diagnostics and laboratory applications where precision and reliability are critical.
