Hubergroup to showcase Hydro-i at IndiaCorr Expo 2025

Hubergroup to showcase Hydro-i…

Hubergroup Print Solutions will spotlight its flagship water-based ink portfolio Hydro-i at IndiaCorr Expo 2025, returning to the event where the series was first unveiled in 2022. Developed for corrugated packaging workflows, the portfolio has since gained market recognition for pairing print performance with sustainability considerations. According to the company, Hydro-i was shaped by rigorous market analysis, close collaboration with customers and advanced R&D to help converters align processes with evolving regulatory requirements and customer expectations. The range addresses both pre-print and post-print needs on coated and uncoated substrates. With low VOC content and high mileage, the inks are designed to help reduce environmental impact while maintaining vibrant print quality. The announcement coincides with hubergroup marking 260 years in printing inks, which the company frames as a milestone for its technology and partnerships.

System scope and application

Positioned by the company as more than an ink set, Hydro-i is presented as a holistic system tailored to the demands of corrugated box production. It comprises ink systems for post- and pre-print applications and is compatible with coated as well as uncoated board. The stated combination of low VOC content and high mileage is intended to support converters seeking to improve environmental metrics without sacrificing visual outcomes on press.

Manufacturing, traceability and support

Hydro-i for the Indian subcontinent is produced at hubergroup’s manufacturing site in Silvassa, India. The facility features automated production, extensive quality control procedures and SAP-based traceability. In addition to the product attributes, the company highlights reliable supply and technical service as part of the offer for converters in India and other markets. Pratip Dey, Business Head at hubergroup India, said: "In an era where the packaging industry demands both environmental compliance and uncompromising quality, Hydro-i delivers on all fronts. Its journey from being unveiled at IndiaCorr Expo to becoming a global benchmark underscores our commitment to shaping the future of packaging through technology and partnership."

The company notes that Hydro-i will return this September to the showcase where it began. Visitors to IndiaCorr Expo 2025 can meet hubergroup at Stand No. A42, Hall 9 to evaluate integration of Hydro-i into existing production and discuss sustainability objectives.
