Exel Composites has announced its participation in JEC World 2026, one of the key international events dedicated to composite materials and their applications. The trade fair will take place on March 10–12, 2026 at the Nord Villepinte exhibition center in Paris. The Exel team will be available to visitors at stand E132 in Hall 5, where the company will present its expertise in continuous composite manufacturing, including advanced pultrusion and pull-winding technologies for high-volume and performance-critical applications.
JEC World is the largest trade show in the world dedicated to composite materials and their applications. Each year it brings together in Paris representatives of the global composites value chain, including manufacturers, engineers, designers and decision-makers responsible for implementing composite solutions in various industrial sectors. Exel Composites' presence at the trade fair aims to present a wide portfolio of solutions based on pultrusion and pull-winding technologies, supported by the company's research and development capabilities and experience in delivering projects for customers worldwide.
At the Exel stand, advanced composite solutions will be presented for many industries, such as wind power, transportation, buildings and infrastructure, electrical engineering and power transmission, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. The company also highlights its expertise in the design and manufacture of composite conductor cores, which are the central structural element of overhead power conductors. In this area, Exel draws attention to how advanced composites can provide a lighter, stronger and more efficient alternative to traditional steel conductor cores.
Composite solutions and meetings with customers
During JEC World 2026, Exel Composites plans to use the trade fair as a platform for discussions with existing and potential customers and technology partners. As emphasized by Francesco Ierullo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Exel Composites: "JEC World offers an important opportunity for us to meet both new and existing customers, discuss ongoing projects, and explore future collaboration opportunities. Our team will be available throughout the event to share insights into our technologies and application expertise, and we’re inviting customers and industry peers to an informal cocktail gathering at our stand on Wednesday, March 11, starting at 17:00."
The company invites visitors to learn about its offer in the field of continuous composite manufacturing, covering the design and production of composite profiles for applications requiring high strength, stiffness and environmental resistance. The presented solutions are intended to illustrate how pultrusion and pull-winding technologies can be adapted to the specific requirements of different end-use applications.
Participation in the technical program of the trade fair
In addition to its exhibition presence, Exel Composites will take part in the technical program of JEC World 2026. Kim Sjödahl, Senior Vice President, Technology and Sustainability at Exel, will participate in a panel discussion titled "Composites in Construction: Durability, Challenges, and Building the Impossible". The session will take place on Tuesday, March 10, from 14:00 to 15:00 at Agora 6 and is part of the official event agenda.
The participation of an Exel representative in a panel on the use of composites in construction underlines the importance of composite solutions in the construction sector, where long-term durability, environmental resistance and the ability to realise complex structural concepts are required. The company intends to share its experience related to the practical implementation of composite profiles in infrastructure and building projects.
Projects in the aerospace sector and recognition in the JEC Innovation Awards
Exel Composites was among the finalists of the JEC Innovation Awards in the Aerospace (Parts) category as a partner to its customer Flying Whales. This collaboration shows how advanced composite solutions can enable the development of lighter, stronger and more efficient structures for next-generation aerospace applications. In the airship project developed by Flying Whales, pull-wound carbon fiber tubes manufactured by Exel play an important structural role and are one of the key load-bearing elements of this innovative platform.
The use of carbon fiber tubes produced by pull-winding illustrates the potential to tailor the structural properties of composites to specific design requirements, including reducing self-weight while increasing stiffness and strength in components with complex geometry.
Invitation to the Exel Composites stand
Visitors to JEC World 2026 are invited to meet the Exel Composites team at stand E132 in Hall 5 to learn more about the company’s continuous composite manufacturing technologies, application expertise and customer projects. During meetings at the stand, examples of applications in different industries will be presented, as well as possibilities to tailor composite profiles to the requirements of industrial customers.
