At the Sumitomo (SHI) Demag stand number 22 in hall 6 (former hall F), visitors will be able to see live how the combination of reliable technology, intelligent control systems and proven know-how enables production that meets the highest quality and environmental requirements. Efficiency, precision and hygiene - these are the key pillars of the solutions presented at Plastpol 2025.
At this year's Plastpol 2025, the world leader in plastics processing, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, will present two highly advanced production cells based on a series of energy-saving and all electric IMM IntElect series. The exhibition will focus on precision processing, taking into account strict requirements of the medical and consumer industries. From injection of biocompatible materials to closed-loop recycling, visitors will be able to see how modern production technologies support quality, efficiency and sustainable development.
Medical precision and hygiene - production of olefin copolymer syringes
The first medical application will be presented on the IntElect2 S 130/520-250 (screw diameter 25 mm) with a four-cavity mold from the renowned Zahoransky company, designed for the production of 1 ml syringes from cyclic olefin copolymer (COC). The injection weight is 8.8 g, and the part weight is 2.2 g.
COC is a highly transparent, biocompatible and chemically stable material, but it is difficult to process due to its narrow technological tolerances and high susceptibility to internal stresses. The use of all electric injection molding machine, the IntElect2 guarantees not only the highest repeatability and dynamics of the process, but also quiet, energy-efficient operation - key features in medical production.
Production takes place in an integrated laminar flow box - a compact workspace made of stainless steel, ensuring overpressure and cleanliness in accordance with hygiene standards applicable in cleanrooms. The whole creates a complete, ready-to-validate cell for customers from the medtech sector.
The partners of this application are Zahoransky, which deliveries the mold, Elbi, which will provide the HB Therm thermostats, the plastic feeding and dehumidification system is supplied by Moretto, the mold mounting system is from Lenzkes, and the hot runner thermoregulator is provided by Hasco.

Sustainable design - a filter for an espresso machine with closed-loop recycling
The second production cell, based on all electric injection molding machine IntElect 75/420-250 with a SAM-C3 robot of our own production, and a handle&place system, is dedicated to the consumer and automotive sectors. The four-cavity mould from the Polish tool shop KLGS allows to produce filter covers for a renowned brand of coffee machine. The injection with a weight of 21 g (detail 4.8 g) is carried out with immediate recycling of recyclate from the sprue (11% of the mass). The integrated SAM-C robot collects the parts and places them on a conveyor belt, and the packaging is taken over by a compact container transport system.
The process uses intelligent adaptive functions:
- activeFlowBalance - reduces differences in the weight of parts between the mould cavities,
- activeMeltControl - automatically corrects the process parameters in response to changes in viscosity, resulting from, among others, the share of recyclate.
The compact, energy-efficient and fully integrated cavity is a perfect answer to the needs of modern production plants, where both precision and sustainable production count.
The partners of this application are Moretto, which supplies the plastic feeding and dosing system, Gimatic, which presents its robot gripper, Lenzkes, which also supplies the mold mounting system, Lifocolor deliveries pigment , and Beewatec, which supplies the transport system.

Pharis, an intelligent digital MES system - your path to production digitization
Both applications at the stand will be connected to an intelligent digital MES system, where process parameters from both productions will be collected, processed and presented simultaneously in real time. The presentation shows how process digitization contributes to effective production management and the elimination of set-ups and undesirable events.
Pharis will also be present at the Plastpol trade fair, at the Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Polska stand, in Hall 6, Stand 22. Pharis from the Czech Republic has been helping manufacturing companies increase efficiency, reduce costs and gain full control over production and personnel through process digitalization for 25 years. MES Pharisenables effective management and planning of the entire production in real time, in accordance with your own workflows - from collecting data from machines and stations, through management of production operations, planning and control of production capacities, proactive maintenance and logistics, to the assessment of production quality and efficiency.
MES Pharis is suitable for managers of a wide range of industrial companies who are not satisfied with mediocrity. The system is intended for companies of all s - from small to large. It has a particularly strong position in industries such as plastics processing, automotive, medicine, metalworking and the defense industry.
Pharis offers not only technological solutions, but above all partnership and professional consulting. Our unique know-how reflects over 25 years of experience in the industry. You can grow with us.

The Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Polska team and a representative from Pharis will be at stand no. 22 in hall 6 ready to introduce closer presented technologies.
