EREMA's standardised recycling machine is well established on the market

EREMA's standardised recycling…

EREMA's standardised ReadyMac recycling line, introduced at K 2022 and relaunched at the end of 2024, has established a sustained market presence. The company reports that demand accelerated further following the introduction of the ReadyMac 500 HD in early 2025. In the current 2025/26 financial year, which ends in March 2026, the number of machines already installed matches the total for the previous year, and sales figures have more than doubled. The concept is made to stock and combines fixed pricing with immediate availability, addressing multiple film and regrind applications. Market uptake extends beyond Europe to regions such as South Africa and Latin America.

The ReadyMac is positioned as a universal, standardised solution built on the company's extrusion and filtration platform. Two configurations are offered, both rated at 500 kilograms per hour. The heavy-duty variant, equipped with an Erema laser filter for post-consumer waste streams, is listed at EUR 440,000. A second version uses an SW RTF screen changer to process medium contaminated feedstock for an investment of EUR 375,000. Each machine includes a multipurpose extruder screw and is supported by the company's global after-sales service, including rapid spare parts supply and worldwide support.

Market uptake and configurations

Since launch, ReadyMac has steadily increased its market presence. The relaunch in late 2024 and the addition of the ReadyMac 500 HD in early 2025 further lifted demand, with new machine commissions in the current financial year already reaching double digits. Customers cite the combination of availability, price transparency and established process know-how as decision factors.

"The feedback from the markets shows us that we are onto a winner with the ReadyMac," said Michael Köhnhofer, Head of Business Unit ReadyMac at EREMA. "Our customers appreciate the combination of quick and easy availability at an attractive price, and proven EREMA quality. This is something that appeals to many companies at a time when each investment needs to be evaluated very carefully."

From a portfolio perspective, the platform targets customers seeking a fast route into plastics recycling with a predefined machine rather than a custom build. As Manfred Hackl, CEO at the EREMA Group, noted: "With the ReadyMac we are aiming to reach customers who are looking to enter plastics recycling with a reliable machine that is available quickly, rather than a custom-built solution. As a result, we have yet again strengthened the portfolio of the Erema group of companies."

Technology and service

The ReadyMac is based on EREMA's extrusion system featuring TVE technology and the patented Preconditioning Unit, PCU. This combination is designed to stabilise processing of variable input streams while maintaining melt quality. Beyond the standardised scope and fixed price points, the offering includes established after-sales services with rapid spare parts logistics and global technical support, intended to lower risk for companies expanding or entering recycling operations.

Presence at K 2025

EREMA will present ReadyMac at K 2025 in Düsseldorf, Hall 9, stand C09. The company plans a ReadyMac Day on 13 October as part of its activities at the show.

Michael Köhnhofer, Head of Business Unit ReadyMac at Erema, is delighted with ReadyMac's success. Made to stock, these recycling machines are available in two versions: with a laser filter or with an SW RTF screen changer system.
