BOY Switzerland GmbH evaluates its participation in Swiss Plastics Expo 2026 as successful. The company presented two injection moulding machines, the new BOY 35 Electric and the BOY XS E designed for micro injection moulding. The presentation focused on compact, precise and energy-efficient injection moulding solutions, and numerous visitors to the stand took the opportunity to obtain information on modern automation and application concepts.
Visitor responses confirmed the growing importance of efficiency, reliability and economical use of production space in plastics processing. The BOY 35 Electric injection moulding machine in particular attracted strong interest and was the subject of many discussions with industry representatives. Attention was drawn to its performance and versatility for use in modern processing plants.
During the trade fair, the current market situation and the specific features of the Swiss plastics processing sector were also discussed. For BOY Switzerland, its presence at Swiss Plastics Expo was an opportunity for direct meetings with machine users, for exchanging experience and for presenting possible directions of application development, both in the area of micro injection moulding and in the injection moulding of parts with standard dimensions.
Assessment of participation in Swiss Plastics Expo 2026
Representatives of BOY Switzerland emphasise the importance of this year's edition of Swiss Plastics Expo for further strengthening the company's position in the market. According to reports from the event, the stand attracted steady interest from industry specialists seeking solutions that combine precision, process repeatability and low energy consumption with a compact machine footprint.
Roman Gnos, managing director of BOY Switzerland GmbH, highlighted the positive reception of the solutions presented by visitors. As he points out, the trade fair in Lucerne was an important start to 2026 for the company.
"Swiss Plastics 2026 was a successful start for us. The great interest and positive feed-back confirm that BOY machines are also a strong solution for modern plastics pro-cessing in Switzerland," said Roman Gnos, managing director of BOY Switzerland GmbH.
Although, as in previous years, a decline in the number of exhibitors and visitors was recorded in 2026, the trade fair maintained its profile as an event with a strong national character, aimed primarily at the Swiss trade audience. Under these conditions, Swiss Plastics Expo still proved to be a valuable platform for BOY Switzerland, particularly in terms of direct discussions with customers and further market penetration.
An important element of the trade fair presence was the opportunity to present practical examples of BOY machine applications, including micro injection moulding solutions based on the BOY XS E and processes for injecting parts requiring high dimensional accuracy where installation space in the production hall is limited.

Market position of BOY Switzerland and the role of customer relations
The materials summarising participation in Swiss Plastics Expo 2026 highlighted the established market position of BOY Schweiz GmbH. The company has an extensive customer base and is well recognised among plastics processors in Switzerland. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of personal relationships and trust, which translate into stable cooperation with machine users.
Managing director Roman Gnos is reported to have a very strong network in the Swiss injection moulding industry and to enjoy a high level of trust among existing customers. This is especially important in a situation where trade fair events take place in an environment characterised by lower attendance than in previous years.
In the company's view, such conditions further highlight the importance of substantive discussions, technical consulting and long-term business relationships. Swiss Plastics Expo 2026 was an opportunity for BOY Switzerland to strengthen these aspects and to present its portfolio in the context of current user requirements in injection moulding.
Florian Schäfer, project manager export at Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG, who was present at Swiss Plastics Expo 2026, underlined the importance of these factors in the current trade fair environment.
"It is precisely in a challenging trade fair environment that the importance of trust, per-sonal relationships and technical expertise becomes apparent. BOY Switzerland is very well positioned in this regard and made a convincing appearance at Swiss Plastics Expo 2026," said Florian Schäfer, project manager export at Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG.
The solutions presented at the trade fair are intended to address the demand from plastics processors for compact, energy-efficient and precise injection moulding machines tailored to production conditions typical of the Swiss market.
