At Kuteno 2026, taking place on 9–11 June 2026 in Bad Salzuflen, Dr. Boy GmbH & Co. KG will present a small selection from its current machine range. The company’s stand is set to focus on two solutions, the smallest Boy injection moulding machine, the Boy XS E, and the Boy 35 Electric. The manufacturer states that both machines will be shown in operation, with application examples for moulding small parts and manufacturing functional items. The company’s presence will be complemented by an additional injection moulding machine shown at partner OPM’s booth, intended to allow visitors to compare different configurations and applications implemented on Boy machines.
The Boy XS E, with a clamping force of 100 kN, is to produce a so-called spork, a part that combines the functions of a spoon and a fork in a single component. According to the manufacturer, the machine features a minimal footprint of 0.87 m² and high precision. The technologies applied are intended to provide a wide range of uses in micro and small-part injection moulding.
The design description points to a free-standing two-platen clamping unit with a diagonal arrangement of the tie bars. This solution is intended to provide optimal access to the plasticising unit, mould cavity and ejector system, which can facilitate the integration of automation equipment.
The second key machine on the stand is set to be the Boy 35 Electric, described by the manufacturer as the smallest electromechanical injection moulding machine in Boy’s portfolio, with a clamping force of 350 kN. During the live demonstration, the machine is to produce cable ties. The listed features include precise injection, high dynamics and reduced cycle times enabled by parallel movements.
The manufacturer also points to a new universal injection unit with patented injection force measurement, available for screw diameters from 14 mm to 32 mm, which is intended to support high process accuracy. The two-platen clamping unit and the lubricant-free mould mounting area are presented as providing conditions suitable for clean applications. The injection moulding machine is to produce reusable cable ties combining functionality with an approach to sustainability.
Attention is also drawn to the compact design and small footprint, as well as modern drive and control solutions, which are intended to make the Boy Electric series a solution for a wide range of applications.
Boy’s presence at Kuteno is set to be complemented by an exhibit at partner OPM’s stand (Hall 20, booth H12). A Boy 25 E is announced, producing check cards. The material is to be coloured using liquid ink.
The manufacturer invites visitors to the Boy stand in Hall 20, booth D22, as well as to the partner OPM stand in Hall 20, booth H12.
